Seth Rollins admits he ‘hates’ popular WWE show

WWE Star Seth Rollins Reveals He 'Hates' the Network's New Docuseries: A Blow to the Illusion of Professional Wrestling Magic?

The highly-anticipated docuseries, WWE 'Unreal,' has generated mixed reactions from fans and critics alike. The Netflix series provides an unprecedented look behind the scenes, exposing how matches are staged, creative decisions are made, and even live communication between referees and backstage personnel takes place during a match. Recently, Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins opened up about their thoughts on the show during an appearance on Bert Kreischer's "Something's Burning" podcast.

Becky Lynch was more positive about the docuseries, stating that while it may chip away at some industry secrets, she would have loved to watch such a show when she was a young wrestling fan. However, Seth Rollins took a different stance, expressing his dislike for the concept of pulling back the curtain on the creative process.

Rollins believes that revealing too much information destroys the essence of professional wrestling's "gray area," where reality and predetermined narratives blur. This "gray area" is what generates excitement and investment from WWE fans, according to Rollins. He argued that the small sense of unpredictability is what makes professional wrestling magical, citing the importance of preserving doubt in the narrative.

Rollins continued, stating that when you start to chip away at this element of doubt, it becomes tricky and loses its magic. His sentiments echo those of many fans who feel that revealing too much about the business ruins the illusion of professional wrestling.

While some may appreciate the documentary-style series, Rollins' comments suggest that he prefers to maintain a level of mystery surrounding his craft. As one of WWE's top stars, Rollins understands the delicate balance between creating an entertaining experience for fans and maintaining the secrecy that fuels their imagination.

OMG, can you believe Seth Rollins is hating on WWE's new docuseries?! 🤯 I mean, I get where he's coming from, it's like they're exposing all the behind-the-scenes secrets that make wrestling magic happen 💫. But at the same time, I think it's cool to see what goes into making a match and how creative decisions are made 📺. Rollins is right though, we do love the unpredictability of wrestling - it's what keeps us on the edge of our seats! 🤔 The gray area between reality and narrative is like, 90% of what makes wrestling so thrilling for us fans 🎭. Let's just say I'm curious to see how much more they'll reveal in future seasons... will be keeping an eye on it 👀 #WWE #Docuseries #SethRollins #WrestlingMagic

Ugh I'm so with Seth on this 🤔👎 I mean don't get me wrong I love a good behind-the-scenes look but when you're pulling back the curtain it just doesn't feel like magic anymore ✨💔 It's like they're taking away the mystery and the excitement that makes wrestling so thrilling for us fans 🤯 The 'gray area' between reality and scripted storylines is what keeps me on the edge of my seat, wondering what's real and what's not 😬 And when you start revealing all the secrets it just loses its charm, like a magic trick that's been revealed ✨😒 I get why some people might appreciate the documentary-style series but for me, it's just not the same 🤷‍♂️

I gotta say, I get what Seth is sayin' 🤔. The idea of showin' us how the sausage gets made can be kinda cool at first, but once you start pullin' back the curtain too much, it just loses its magic 🔮. For me, part of the excitement of watchin' WWE is not knowin' exactly what's gonna happen next - there's that thrill of unpredictability, ya know? 🤯 If they start revealin' all the secrets behind the scenes, it feels like you're just watchin' a scripted show or somethin'. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's still entertaining as hell, but it's not the same. Seth's got a point - sometimes less is more, and that's what makes pro wrestling so great 🤸‍♂️.

I'm not surprised Seth is feeling this way 🤔... I mean, can you imagine watching your favorite wrestling match with like 50% less suspense? 😅 It's all about building that anticipation and mystery around the matches. If they start revealing every detail, it's gonna feel super scripted and boring for fans who love the 'what if?' aspect of it 💪 As long as Seth is comfortable with keeping some secrets under his hat, I'm good with it 😉
