Missing Queens Teen's Desperate Search Continues as Family Plea for Information
A search for 15-year-old Jafet Jemmott, who vanished from his home in Queens last month, is gaining momentum. The teen, a high school student with excellent grades, was last seen leaving his Arverne apartment on November 28th around 6am after an argument with his father over money to go shopping.
According to police and the boy's family, Jemmott had planned to meet friends at the Kings Plaza Mall in Brooklyn, but he never arrived. His parents tracked his phone signal until it went dead over the Cross Bay Bridge, suggesting he took the local Q52 bus from his neighborhood.
Jaffe's father, Federico, expressed concerns that his son might have encountered danger and urged anyone with information to come forward. "If he's not being held by someone that's not allowing him to speak, then he should reach out to his family and know that his family miss him and that they love him," he said.
Desperate for leads, the NYPD is appealing to the public for help finding Jemmott, who stands 5'6" with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black sweater, black pants, and white sneakers.
Those with information are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit tips online. The family's heartfelt plea emphasizes the importance of community involvement in Jemmott's search. As the investigation unfolds, officials remain hopeful that they will find the missing teen and bring him home safely.
