2026 AAS Town Hall Schedule

The American Astronomical Society's 247th meeting, set to take place from January 3 to 7, will feature a diverse range of events and presentations on various topics related to space exploration and astronomy. On Saturday, the NASA Exoplanet Exploration Program Analysis Group (ExoPAG) will be held, with sessions scheduled throughout the day.

The Cosmic Origins Program Analysis Group (COPAG), Joint Program Analysis Group, Physics of the Cosmos Program Analysis Group (PhysPAG), and Habitable Worlds Observatory are other groups that will present on separate days. The meeting also features updates from NASA, presentations about citizen science involvement, and discussions related to active galactic nuclei.

Throughout the week, various sessions have been scheduled for attendees to engage with experts and learn more about ongoing research in these areas.

I'm hyped 🀩 that there's so much cool stuff going down at this AAS meeting! I mean, who doesn't love space exploration? It's like, the ultimate quest for knowledge, right? And it's awesome that they're having all these different groups presenting on various topics - ExoPAG is always super interesting, and COPAG sounds like a total brain-twister (in a good way!) 🀯 PhysPAG and Habitable Worlds Observatory are probably gonna be pretty mind-blowing too. And I'm loving the fact that there's citizen science involvement - it's so cool to see how regular people can contribute to real research! Plus, all those expert sessions sound like a great way to learn about what's new in the field πŸ“šπŸ’‘ Can't wait to hear about any updates from NASA - they're always pushing the boundaries of what we know!

I'm super stoked about this American Astronomical Society meeting πŸš€! It's gonna be a massive event with so many cool topics to dive into - exoplanets, galaxy formations, habitable worlds... my mind is already racing with all the possibilities 🀯. I love how they're making it accessible for everyone, from citizen science involvement to in-depth sessions with experts. It's like, who doesn't want to geek out about space? πŸ’« And can we talk about NASA updates? That's always super exciting! Are there any new discoveries on the horizon that we should be keeping an eye out for? πŸ€”

omg, space fans unite πŸš€! can't wait for the AAS meeting next month! i'm really stoked they're doing a whole day on exoplanet exploration - it's like, we're one step closer to finding life beyond earth, you know? πŸ€” and the fact that there are multiple groups presenting on different topics is just, wow. i love how citizen science involvement is being highlighted too - it's all about making space research more accessible to everyone! πŸ‘₯ so, who else is excited for some out-of-this-world learning?

This is just what I was saying about NASA's "secret" space program πŸš€! They're just hiding all this info from us, you know? First of all, why do they need so many different groups presenting at the same time? It's like they're trying to confuse us on purpose. And then there's ExoPAG, what's that even for? Just a bunch of scientists talking about exoplanets, yeah right... πŸ™„ I mean, have you ever wondered why we're not hearing more about this stuff from the mainstream media? It's like they're covering it up!

Ugh, 247th meeting already? It feels like just last year they had one πŸ™„. And isn't it gonna be super crowded with all those astronomers and scientists trying to present their work? I mean, I'm not complaining or anything, but can't we get some updates online before the meeting so people can prep beforehand? πŸ€” Also, who thought it was a good idea to have multiple groups like COPAG, PhysPAG, and ExoPAG? It's already gonna be hard for newbies to keep up with all the acronyms πŸ˜….

πŸš€ space is wild, can't believe how much stuff they're gonna be talking about at this meeting... gotta say, citizen science involvement is super cool 🀩 gotta get my people on that, might just change the game for astro enthusiasts out there πŸ‘½. also, active galactic nuclei sound like some crazy sci-fi stuff πŸ˜‚. but seriously, can't wait to see what new discoveries come out of this meeting... maybe we'll finally find proof of exoplanet life 🌟

Omg space nerds rejoice! I'm super stoked to hear that there's a whole meeting dedicated to exploring the cosmos πŸš€πŸ‘½! I mean, can you think of anything cooler than learning from actual scientists about exoplanets and black holes? The fact that they have sessions for citizen science involvement is so cool too - it's like we get to be part of the research process too πŸ’‘! And NASA updates? Yes please! 🀩 I'm definitely going to keep an eye on this meeting, hoping to catch some of the panels and presentations. Anyone got any insider info about which sessions are must-see events? πŸ€”

I'm super stoked to hear that there's a whole week dedicated to space exploration and astronomy πŸš€πŸ’«. It's like, we're living in this amazing time where humans are actually trying to explore the universe and figure out all its secrets 🀯. And it's so cool that there's a whole meeting with experts and sessions for us regular folks to learn from them too πŸ’‘.

I think what I love most about space exploration is how it makes us realize just how small we are in the grand scheme of things, you know? It's like, we're not even close to fully understanding this universe, but we keep pushing forward and trying new things 🌠. And that's something to get excited about! 😊

πŸš€ So I guess we're all gonna be stuck in this tiny conference room for 5 days learning about space...I mean, who gets excited about that? 😴 Not me, that's for sure. But seriously, it's pretty cool that NASA has a whole Exoplanet Exploration Program dedicated to searching for life beyond our planet. I mean, can you imagine finding out we're not alone in the universe?! 🀯 That would totally change everything. And the fact that they're including citizen science involvement means regular people like us can contribute to the research too. πŸ‘ Now if only they could make space travel more accessible and affordable...then we'd really have something to get excited about! πŸš€πŸ’Έ

I'm thinking, what's up with all these space programs? It's like they're trying to distract us from our own problems πŸ€”. I mean, sure, exploring the cosmos is cool and all, but can we solve our energy crisis or something? 🌎 We need more funding for renewable energy, not just space exploration! And what about the poor people on Earth who are struggling to access basic healthcare and education? It's like we're prioritizing stars over us humans πŸ’”.

And don't even get me started on NASA's priorities. They're spending billions on Mars exploration, but what about our own planet? We need to take care of it before we worry about taking a selfie on Mars πŸ“Έ. It's time for some accountability, folks! Who's paying attention to these space programs and holding them accountable? We need more transparency in government – or rather, in the space agencies πŸ’‘.
