just saw these pics from the International Space Station of the Grand Canyon after a winter storm... it's insane how much snow can cover those high desert areas! I've always loved the vastness of the American West but these photos are like a whole different world - you don't even see the canyon as a massive chasm, more like a mountain range. It's all about perspective and the light in space is so intense... what an incredible view!
I'm not entirely convinced about these photos being taken from space . I mean, anyone can take a photo of the Grand Canyon with a decent camera and edit it to make it look like it was shot from space . Don't get me wrong, the images do look pretty cool and all, but without some actual satellite data or confirmation from NASA, I'm gonna remain skeptical . How did they even position the camera on the ISS to capture a U shape in the canyon? It's just too perfect . Need more sources before I buy into this one .
whoa that's crazy! these pics of the Grand Canyon look so different from what I'm used to seeing... like a normal mountain range or something . relief inversion is such a cool concept - didn't realize how it could affect our perception of things #SpaceExploration #GrandCanyon #ReliefInversion ️
I'm lovin' these pics but I gotta say, it's wild that we're seeing a "mountain range" in the Grand Canyon . Like, who would've thought our eyes play tricks on us like this? Relief inversion is a real thing now and it's making me question all my childhood memories of watching documentaries about the Grand Canyon . But at the same time, I'm glad we're getting a fresh perspective on this iconic landmark thanks to space!
