CBS Vampire Comedy Pilot From ‘Ghosts’ Showrunners Casts Allegra Edwards

"Vampire Comedy Pilot 'Eternally Yours' Adds Allegra Edwards to Cast"

Allegra Edwards is set to star alongside Ed Weeks and Jaren Lewison in the upcoming CBS comedy pilot "Eternally Yours", according to Variety. The show, created by Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, who are also known for developing the hit CBS series "Ghosts," follows an eternal love story between two vampires who are married for 500 years.

Edwards will play Liz, a wife, mother, history professor, and vampire since 1526 AD, who is fed up with her mundane marriage and wants to modernize. Her character's struggles to accept the human daughter of her husband will make for an entertaining watch. This marks Edwards' reunion with Port and Wiseman, whom she previously worked with on multiple episodes of "Ghosts" as Donna.

The pilot has been picked up by CBS Studios after opening a development room in mid-2024. The show's official logline describes it as an "eternal love story about two vampires who have been married for five hundred years, and their struggles to accept the human who is dating their daughter." Edwards will be repped by Innovative Artists Entertainment and OPE Partners.

The production team includes Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, and Jason Wang as executive producers. "Eternally Yours" is set to bring a fresh take on the vampire genre with its blend of humor and heart.

Ugh, vampires are back 🦇💀, just what we needed more of that cheesy supernatural stuff. I mean, 500 years of marriage? Give me a break, sounds like a recipe for boredom 😴. And another thing, who thought it was a good idea to cast Allegra Edwards in this role? She's got talent, but she needs better projects than this 💔. The fact that it's just another comedy pilot is kinda underwhelming too 🤷‍♀️. Guess we'll have to wait and see if it's worth watching or if it's just more of the same old vampire nonsense 😒

I cant w8 2 c Allegra Edwards play Liz in this new vampire comedy pilot 🤣🦇, she sounds like shud be hilarious! I mean, who doesnt love a good laugh n some drama 4 free? 💁‍♀️ I also love that the show is tryna bring a fresh take on vampires n how they navigate modern life 😂. The cast already looks pretty interesting w/ Ed Weeks & Jaren Lewison 🤝... let's hope this show brings some laughs n good vibes to our screens soon! 👍

OMG u guys! 🤩 I'm literally DYING over this news!!! Allegra Edwards is joining Ed Weeks & Jaren Lewison in the new Vampire Comedy Pilot "Eternally Yours" 🦇💕 and I am SO here for it!! I mean, 500 years of marriage? Girl needs some major life changes! 💁‍♀️ Liz's character sounds like my spirit animal (the human who's dating her vampire son) is so relatable. Can't wait to see how the whole eternal love story unfolds 📺👀 & it's awesome that Edwards is reuniting with Joe Port and Joe Wiseman from "Ghosts" - those two are geniuses! 😍 The production team has got this! Let's get this show on air already and give me all the vampire comedy goodness 💖

.. think about this... vampires in comedy, what does that say about our society? We're so drawn to these creatures of the night, but are we really interested in their struggles or are we just entertained by the idea of immortality? I mean, Allegra Edwards is playing a character who's been alive for 500 years and still stuck in a loveless marriage... isn't that what's holding us back from truly finding ourselves?

And then there's this human daughter who's dating her father's kid... doesn't that just feel like our own messed up family dynamics? Like, how do you navigate those relationships when you're trying to find your own way in life? I'm curious to see how the show explores these themes of love, acceptance, and identity. Can a comedy really tackle these heavy issues or will it just be a funny romp?

Omg I'm so here for this new vampire comedy pilot 🤣! Allegra Edwards sounds like an amazing addition to the cast, her character's struggles will be relatable for sure. I love how it's not just your typical vampiric lore but a fresh take with humor and heart ❤️. A show about 2 vampires married for 500 years trying to navigate human life is already hilarious, can't wait to see more of this! 👻🤣

man I'm thinking about how our lives get so stuck in a rut like Liz's character you know? we're all just trying to survive another day, another year, but then we hit that midlife crisis or quarter-life thing where we're like what am i even doing with my life? and it sounds kinda relatable for vampires too lol. but seriously though, its interesting how we can find humor in our own struggles. its like the show is gonna be this wild ride of emotions, you feel?

omg i'm so down for this new vampire comedy pilot eversince they're casting someone who actually looks like a human lol imagine watching edwards try to navigate our modern world as a 500 yr old vampire & her human daughter is gonna be epic! i love the fact that the show is bringing a fresh take on the genre, adding humor and heart to the mix. can't wait to see it come together 🤞

This show sounds like a fun twist on the traditional vampire tale 🤔💉 I mean, who hasn't been in a long-term relationship that's feeling a bit stale? 🙃 Allegra Edwards as the "modern" wife who just wants to shake things up is already looking interesting to me. I'd love to see how she balances her desire for change with the traditional vampire lifestyle. The mix of humor and heart in the pilot sounds like it could be a great watch 👍🏻 And, you know, 500 years is basically an eternity, so there's plenty of room for drama and character development 📚 What do you think? Are vampires due for a comeback on TV? 🤔

idk how they think ppl will buy into 2 vampires who've been married for 500 yrs but are still got issues lol like cant those two just have a normal relationship already? 🤷‍♂️ this show is gonna be all about the drama n comedy, sounds like its gonna be a wild ride

🤔 I mean, have you seen the way they're setting up this show? Like, two vampires who've been married for 500 years, yeah right... That's some deep, dark magic we're talking about here. And now they're adding a human into the mix because "struggle is real"? Give me a break! I bet there's more to it than meets the eye. Maybe this show is just a Trojan horse for something bigger? 🤫 I mean, who's funding these production companies, anyway? CBS Studios? That sounds like a front to me. And what's with the "fresh take on the vampire genre"? Sounds like they're trying to whitewash the whole undead thing... 😏

I'm so down for this new vampire comedy! 🤣 Allegra Edwards is going to kill it as Liz, I mean, she's already got that whole 'tired of being an immortal wife' vibe goin' on. And can we talk about how refreshing it is to see a strong female character in a show like this? I love that she's not just some damsel in distress, but a smart and sassy history prof who's tryna modernize her life. The whole 'human daughter of the vampire husband' thing is gonna be SO entertaining...and can we get a spin-off with the poor kid tryin' to navigate being half-human, half-vampire? 🤪

omg i'm so excited about this new comedy pilot 🤩 it sounds like it's gonna be hilarious! vampires in love who are, like, ancient or something? and now they've got allegra edwards joining the cast which is awesome because she's so talented 💁‍♀️ can't wait to see her bring life to her character liz 🎉

oh great another vampire show 🧛‍♀️... seriously though, Allegra Edwards is pretty cool i mean who wouldn't want to play a vampire wife trying to modernize her life after 500 years? sounds like a great source of comedy material lol... the idea of a human daughter dating the son-in-law is just begging for some awkward moments 🤣 and with Ed Weeks and Jaren Lewison on board, it's gotta be entertaining. i'm down to check this out when it premieres, might just become my new guilty pleasure 😂

Umm I dont know about dis vampire comedy pilot... sounds like just another fad to me 🙃. Vampire stuff has been done before, like a million times, and it's hard for me to see what makes dis one stand out. And I'm not buying the whole "fresh take" vibe, seems like jus another rehash of every other vampire story out there... I mean, werewolves are where its at right now 🧟‍♂️

I'm low-key hyped about this new vampire comedy pilot 🤣! Allegra Edwards seems like an awesome addition to the cast, I love her typecast as the "wife/mom with attitude" 😂. The premise sounds hilarious, I mean who wouldn't want to watch a story about two vampires trying to navigate modern life and their daughter's dating drama? 💕 It's like a funny mix of "Bridget Jones" and "Twilight"...in a good way! 🤪 Can't wait to see how this show turns out 📺

man this show sounds like it's gonna be deep 🤯 allegra edwards joining the cast is like the universe conspiring to make us laugh while also making us feel all the feels about love, marriage, and finding your own identity... i mean 500 years of being married to someone must take a toll on you, right? and now she's got this human daughter coming into the mix, that's just gonna be a recipe for drama 🤯 but at the same time, it's like, we've all been there, right? feeling stuck in our own lives and wanting more... i'm low-key excited to see how they're gonna tackle all these complex emotions in a comedy format 📺

omg i'm so down for this show already lol 500 years of marriage is like, whoa that's some commitment 🤣 can you imagine being married to one person since the renaissance era? allegra edwards is gonna kill it as liz she sounds like a total boss, fed up with her mundane life and all 😒 i love how they're bringing in this fresh take on vampires with humor and heart ❤️ can't wait to see how they blend the old school vampire vibes with modern day issues 🤔

omg i'm so excited about this new pilot ! 🤩 a comedy about vampires getting married for 500 years sounds like the perfect blend of quirky & lovable , cant wait to see allegra edwards as the fed up wife who just wants some modernization in her life , and ed weeks & jaren lewison as the couple's goofy vampire family members . also i love that they're bringing a fresh take on the vampire genre with humor & heart 💖
