A Chicago-area man has been taken into custody in connection with the gruesome double murder of his ex-wife and her husband in Ohio. Michael David McKee, 39, is currently facing two counts of murder and was arrested by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday.
The victims, Monique Tepe, 39, and Spencer Tepe, 37, were shot to death in their home in Columbus, Ohio, on December 30. Their young children were found unharmed inside the house. McKee is listed as Monique Tepe's ex-husband, although it appears he had been living elsewhere.
Authorities say they identified McKee and his car through neighborhood video surveillance. Police then located the vehicle in Rockford, where McKee was arrested on an out-of-state warrant for murder. A court hearing scheduled for Monday will likely determine whether McKee will be extradited to Ohio to face charges.

. He was living a double life as a respected surgeon and then goes and kills his ex-wife and her husband? It's just crazy how these people can keep it all hidden from the world until it's too late... I mean, what kinda person does that? And to think he had two young kids with Monique, poor little ones 
. You'd think a career in medicine would've given him some sense of responsibility and compassion. Guess you never really know someone's true nature till they cross you

It's like, what happened in that head of his?! You'd think someone with a medical degree would know better than to take another human life

this is just so heartbreaking!!! the fact that 2 innocent lives were lost and those poor kids are traumatized... I'm sending all my positive vibes to Monique & Spencer's kids right now

this is so sad... a man taking out the lives of his ex and her new husband, just because they left him behind? it's like he thought he was above the law or something 
. I mean, you'd think with all that medical expertise, he'd have some kind of conscience 
. what's even more disturbing is how this guy managed to evade justice for so long, it's like he had a whole new identity waiting for him in Rockford 
. I guess you could say he got away with his dark secret for too long 
just wondering what's going on with people like mckee... seemingly normal guy on the surface but turns out to be a monster 
. how many of us know someone who's got multiple lives, right? and the fact that he was able to keep it all hidden is just mind-blowing
