Connor Bedard 'feeling good' after Blackhawks practice as return nears

Connor Bedard Returns to Blackhawks Practice with Positive Outlook

Connor Bedard took a significant step towards his return from injury as he participated in a partial practice session with the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday. The 22-year-old forward donned a non-contact jersey, but his progress is a welcome sight for the team.

"I'm feeling good," Bedard said after practice. "Hopefully, pretty soon I can get back out there." Coach Jeff Blashill confirmed that Bedard will not play against the Blues on Wednesday, due to the injury he sustained in his right shoulder last December 12th. However, the Hawks are taking a day-by-day approach, which could see him return to action this weekend against the Capitals or Predators.

During practice, Bedard skated with teammate Frank Nazar, who returned to the ice after suffering a broken jaw on December 20th. While Nazar left the session early, Bedard remained and participated in drills, showcasing his shooting skills with precision and power.

"It's great to see him out there," said defenseman Alex Vlasic. "He definitely brings a little bit more energy and excitement."

Bedard has been open about his injury, stating that his initial reaction was one of frustration after suffering the injury during a game in St. Louis. However, he has taken a more cautious approach since then, following the advice of team doctors.

"We have a lot of great people working with us," Bedard said. "As a player, you just tell them you feel good and you're ready to go, but obviously there's importance in your health and everything. So I'm very lucky to have the people working with me that I do."

Bedard's absence from Team Canada's Olympic team was also discussed during his post-practice interview. While he expressed disappointment at not being selected for the squad, he took the opportunity to analyze his game and identify areas for improvement.

"The positive I've taken out of this is I get to look at my game and think about where I can improve," Bedard said. "When you don't meet one of your goals, the only thing to do is look in the mirror and see where you can get better."

Bedard's return could be a timely boost for the Blackhawks, who have adapted their style without him and earned three consecutive victories with his absence. The team faces another four-game homestand next Monday against the Oilers, and Bedard is expected to be back in action during that stretch at the latest.

As Bedard continues to work towards his return, he remains focused on making a positive impact on the team's performance. With his progress being closely monitored by coaches and medical staff, it will be interesting to see if he can overcome the injury setback and make a meaningful contribution to the Blackhawks' success.

omg i'm so hyped 4 conner bedard 2 b back out ther!!! 🀩 he's been thru hell & back w/ that shoulder injure & its amazing 2 c him grindin away in practice πŸ’οΈ he's got the skills, he just needs 2 get back on the ice & show us what he's got πŸ”₯ coach blashill is doin a great job keepin it real w/ bedard about not playin 2 soon tho 😐 but i'm sure hed be ready 2 roll @ least by the wknd 🀞 cant wait 4 him 2 get back & see what kind of impact he can make on the team πŸ’ͺ

πŸ€” Bedard's return is a great sign for the Hawks, but I'm still skeptical about him being back in time for their upcoming homestand... the injury history is a bit concerning πŸ™. Still, it's awesome to see him out on the ice, and his positive attitude is definitely infectious πŸ’ͺ.

πŸ€” so like Bedard's been out for ages but its good to see him back on the ice already? I mean, 3 consecutive wins with him out is pretty impressive, right? πŸ’οΈ And he's still got that confidence boost from Team Canada even though he wasn't picked... makes me think he's gonna come back stronger than ever πŸ’ͺ. The Hawks are just glad to have him back in the mix now they're gearing up for a big homestand next week πŸ“†

omg bedard is back in the house 🀩 i've been following him since last season and i'm so hyped for his return!!! he's been through a lot with that shoulder injury but it sounds like he's taking it one day at a time and working hard to get back on the ice. 3 consecutive wins without him was no joke, he brings a whole different level of energy to the team! ⚑️ i'm glad he's being realistic about his health and not rushing back too soon, but at the same time i need him out there ASAP! πŸ™

I gotta say, Bedard's return is gonna be huge for the Hawks 🀯. People are saying he was gonna be a key player for Team Canada, but I think it's awesome that he took some time to reflect on his game and work on his weaknesses πŸ’ͺ. He's being super realistic about not rushing back from his injury and focusing on getting healthy first πŸ™. If he can come back at 100% and bring that energy to the team, I'm sure they'll be unstoppable πŸ”₯. And let's be real, three straight wins without him isn't a fluke 😏. Bedard's progress is definitely worth keeping an eye on πŸ‘€

omg u guys i'm lowkey hyped about connor bedard coming back 2 practice 🀩 he was lookin sharp out there skatin with frank nazar & showin off those shooting skills πŸ”₯ coach blashill said he wont play against blues but maybe this wknd? 🀞 we need more of that bedard magic on the ice πŸŽ‰

I'm really looking forward to seeing Connor Bedard back on the ice πŸ’οΈπŸ”₯! His positivity is contagious and I love how he's taking a more cautious approach to his recovery, prioritizing his health above all else πŸ’ͺ. It's awesome that he's using this time to analyze his game and work on areas for improvement – it shows his maturity and dedication to the sport πŸ“š. The Blackhawks are definitely benefiting from his absence, but I think Bedard's return could be a game-changer for them, especially with their upcoming homestand against the Oilers 🏠.

πŸ€” Bedard's comeback timeline is super uncertain πŸ•°οΈ. One day he's back on ice, next he's still out with an injury 😬. Can't say I blame him for being cautious though πŸ’―.

omg u think bedard is gonna come back super fast?? i doubt it 🀣 bedards been out for like 6 months already and he's still not playing yet? his team needs him ASAP or they'll fall behind in the standings πŸ˜’

and btw what's with all these injuries in the nhl?? it's like everyone's got a broken jaw or a torn achilles tendon lol it's getting ridiculous πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

🀞 I'm hyped for Connor Bedard's return to practice! It's clear that he's been working hard to get back in shape and his positive attitude is infectious 😊. The fact that he's still being cautious with his injury is a good sign - we don't want him rushing back too soon and risking further damage. I'm loving the day-by-day approach taken by the coaches, it shows they're not just thinking about winning games, but also prioritizing Bedard's health and well-being πŸ™. The energy he brings to the team is going to be huge when he finally gets back on the ice, and I think it'll be a big boost for their chances of success this season πŸ’ͺ

🀞 Bedard's comeback is like a breath of fresh air for the Hawks! πŸ˜… The guy was meant to be a game-changer, and it's awesome to see him back on the ice. His attitude about being careful with his injury is super smart - you can't rush these things, right? πŸ™

I'm loving how positive he's being about his return, too. It's infectious! The fact that he's taking the time to analyze his game and improve is just genius. I mean, who doesn't love a good comeback story, am I right? 🀩

The Hawks are so lucky to have him back in the mix, especially with their upcoming homestand against the Oilers. With Bedard on board, they've got the firepower to take down anyone! πŸ”₯ Can't wait to see what the rest of the season brings for this team! πŸŽ‰

Connor Bedard looks like he's finally feeling good about returning from that shoulder injury 🀞. I mean, you can't blame him for wanting to get back on the ice ASAP, but it's great to see him taking a cautious approach with the team's medical staff and coaches. They're right to keep an eye on his progress, especially after he suffered a setback last December.

It's also good to see him bouncing back from missing Team Canada's Olympics squad – at least he's taking the negative experience and using it as an opportunity to analyze his game and improve πŸ€”. And I'm sure the Blackhawks could use a boost with Bedard returning; they've been pretty solid without him so far.

Still, it's gonna be tough for him to get back into the swing of things after missing this much time – I'll believe he's fully recovered when he starts playing some top-shelf hockey again πŸ”₯. The Capitals and Predators are gonna have to bring their A-game if they wanna take on Bedard and the Blackhawks!

omg i think its awesome that bedard is taking it one day at a time & not rushing back into action πŸ™Œ his positive outlook is super inspiring & its great to see him staying focused on improving his game πŸ’ͺ i mean yeah team canada might be out of the olympic mix but hey who knows what the future holds for him maybe he'll make an impact in the nxt season & lead team canada to gold ⚑️

I think this is a big deal for the Blackhawks, they've been doing alright without him but now he's back and that's gonna be awesome 🀩. He seems like a super talented player and it'll be great to see him on the ice again. I'm also feeling good about his attitude and focus on improving his game πŸ™.

The team is taking it one day at a time, which is perfect considering he just got back from an injury πŸ˜…. They don't want to rush him back out there and have him get hurt again.

I hope Bedard can make a big impact for the Blackhawks when he returns 🎯. He's been working hard and his progress is looking positive πŸ”₯. Bring it on, Blackhawks fans are gonna love having their star player back!

Bedard's return is exactly what the Hawks need right now 🀩. They've been playing solid hockey without him but this would give them a much-needed boost of energy and scoring punch. The fact that he's taking it one day at a time and listening to his team docs is super responsible, I gotta give him props for that πŸ’―.
