A Chicago cop was caught up in a chaotic car chase that ended with an arrest Wednesday night. Police report that when officers pulled over a woman driving erratically on South State Street at 8:24 p.m., she took off northbound, only to strike one of her own kind in the foot. Miraculously, the officer walked away from the incident, but was treated for their injury at a nearby hospital.
Undeterred, the suspect continued to speed through the streets, eventually rear-ending another SUV in the 2600 block of South State Street. Both she and the passenger with her were apprehended by police shortly after, leaving authorities to book them into custody.
