Ed Sheeran Would Do A Movie Musical If The Right Story Came Along

Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has long been fascinated by the idea of turning his life into a film or musical, but he says it's not something that would be an interesting story just yet. While he admires movies about artists' lives, such as Eminem's 8 Mile, which weaved music around the rapper's life, Sheeran believes there isn't enough to make a compelling narrative out of his own experiences.

However, when the right story comes along, Sheeran is open to exploring it in a movie musical format. He reveals that he thinks this would be an exciting way to bring his music and life together, with two separate art forms complementing each other perfectly – just as watching an amazing movie like Once could inspire a stage musical.

Despite having dabbled in film and television as a singer-actor, including playing versions of himself in Bridget Jones's Baby, Yesterday, and Red Notice, Sheeran is not eager to commit to a biopic. Instead, he envisions a story that showcases new songs with an intriguing narrative. This approach would allow him to explore his music without becoming overly self-indulgent.

Sheeran has already contributed to the soundtrack of F1: The Movie, which won an Emmy for its Best Compilation Soundtrack, and now finds himself in a favorable position for potential Oscar recognition, despite a previous snub of his song "I See Fire" from The Hobbit. He downplays expectations, instead focusing on creating music that resonates with people.

Although Sheeran was not able to participate in F1: The Movie as a cameo performer due to its completion timeline, he remains open to future collaborations and is even eyeing potential cameos for other films or productions. However, one notable exception stands out – his interest in participating in Peter Jackson's Middle-earth projects.

"It would be a Hobbit," Sheeran says with confidence, when asked if he'd like to join the upcoming project. With an impressive filmography and numerous Grammy wins under his belt, including an Emmy, Sheeran's creative endeavors are always worth watching for – and who knows what future surprises might come along?

🤔 I think this is a great lesson in being true to yourself and not just doing something for the sake of it. Ed Sheeran isn't rushing into making a movie musical because he wants to do something that's meaningful to him, not just something that'll make money or boost his ego. It takes courage to wait for the right story to come along, but in the end, it's about creating something authentic and true to who you are as an artist 🎶.

omg ed shearans already done a cameo in bridget joness baby like how did he not mention that 🤣 anyway idk about this movie musical thing but if its gonna be good i'm defo here for it 🎬 his collab with peter jacksons middle earth project tho is kinda exciting who knows what kinda magic they can do together 🔮 also, ed shearans music is just so underrated btw have u heard his song "the a team" 🎵

I'm so down for Ed Sheeran doing a movie musical 🎥🎶! I mean, can you imagine him belting out his hit songs in a film like it was 2008 all over again? 😆 But seriously, I think if the right story comes along, he'd totally knock it out of the park. I'm loving how he's not just focused on doing some generic biopic – he wants to explore new music and create something with an intriguing narrative 📚🎵.

I gotta say, his work in F1: The Movie was awesome, and I'm stoked that he's in a good position for Oscar recognition now 😃. But let's be real, it'd be amazing if he got the chance to work on Peter Jackson's Middle-earth projects 🏰👑. Can you imagine Ed Sheeran as a hobbit? 🤣 That'd be something else!

so ed sheeran is open to doing a movie musical if they find the right story 🎬🎵, kinda like how once inspired a stage musical. i think it would be dope to see him in a project that combines music & film 🎥💫. he's already done some acting gigs in bridget jones's baby and yesterday, so he's not afraid of the spotlight 💁‍♂️. but let's be real, he's been snubbed by oscars before 🤔, so it'll be cool to see him get that recognition 🎉. meanwhile, peter jackson's middle earth projects could be a good fit for him 👑🌳

just saw ed sheeran talking about making a movie musical 🎬... think it'd be dope to see him bring his music to life on screen, especially if the story is intriguing. but gotta agree with him, there's not enough depth in his own experiences to make for a compelling narrative yet 😐. maybe they could adapt one of his songs into a movie though? that would be cool 🎵

I'm telling ya, this Ed Sheeran guy is just trying to distract us from the real issues 🤑. He's all about exploring a movie musical thingy because it'll be a great way to cash in on his fame and maybe even get some more Grammy's 💎. And what's with him being so down-to-earth about not wanting to do a biopic? It's just a clever way of avoiding the real questions, you know? What's really going on behind those puppy eyes? 🤔 Those songwriting skills of his must be hiding something...

🎬 I think it's dope that Ed Sheeran is open to exploring a movie musical format. It would be lit to see him bring new songs to life on the big screen. His music has already been featured in F1: The Movie and now he's got Oscar buzz going for his soundtrack contributions 🏆. But what I think would make this project really special is if it's not just about his personal story, but also one that complements his music, like the movie Once did. That way, we get to see a deeper connection between the film and the songs. And can you imagine him in Peter Jackson's Middle-earth projects? 🔥

I'm so stoked to hear that Ed Sheeran is open to a movie musical 🎵🍿! I think it would be amazing if he found the right story to bring his music and life together. He's already shown us how talented he is in bridging music and film with projects like Bridget Jones's Baby and Yesterday 💫

For me, what makes an interesting narrative is not just about telling someone's life story but about exploring themes that resonate with people 🤝 I think Ed Sheeran's got a knack for creating music that inspires, so if he could do it in a movie musical format, I'd totally be down to watch it 🎥

I love how he wants to focus on new songs and not just his life story – that way, the film can stay true to itself and not get too self-indulgent 🤓 And who knows, maybe we'll see him make a cameo in some other awesome projects! 😉

I gotta say, I'm all about that movie musical vibe 🎥🎶! Ed Sheeran is a genius for thinking outside the box. A story that weaves his music into it would be so sick! I mean, can you imagine him belting out "Shape of You" in a musical number? 🔥💃 He's got so many great songs to draw from, and if the right narrative comes along, it could be magic ✨. And let's be real, who wouldn't want to see Ed Sheeran's quirky personality on the big screen? 😂

omg i think ed sheeran would be so awesome in a movie musical!!! 🎬🎶 he's already got that whole artist-turned-actor vibe down pat, just imagine him belting out his hits on the big screen 😍 and it would def bring his music to life in a way that's both personal and cinematic. i'm low-key hoping for a biopic now lol but ed says there isn't enough juicy drama in his life yet 🙅‍♂️, so we'll just have to keep an eye out for the right story to come along! 💡

just saw this ed sheeran wanna do a movie musical lol 🤔 he thinks it'd be cool to bring music & life together but not sure about his own story yet... i mean, can u imagine ed sheeran in a biopic tho? 😂 anyway, if the right story comes along, he's down 💯 might be interested in working on something like peter jackson's middle earth project tho 🎬
