Emma Heming Willis shares family photos as daughter Mabel turns 11 | CNN

Emma Heming Willis Celebrates Daughter Mabel's 11th Birthday with Heartfelt Family Photos.

In a sweet tribute to her growing daughter, Bruce Willis' wife Emma Heming Willis has shared a montage of family photos and videos taken over the years on Instagram. The slideshow, set to the song "Pictures Of You" by The Cure, marked the 11th birthday of their elder daughter Mabel, who is now a preteen.

Mabel's mom expressed her pride and admiration for her little girl, praising her energy, warmth, and love for family and friends. "Your energy is infectious," Heming Willis wrote in the caption. "You can light a whole room with your smile and warmth." She also thanked Mabel for being such a beautiful influence on their lives.

The heartfelt tribute comes just months after Heming Willis shared an equally emotional video montage on Instagram to celebrate Bruce Willis' 68th birthday, referring to him as "pure love."

However, in February, the couple's family announced that Bruce Willis had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), a form of dementia caused by progressive nerve cell loss in the brain. FTD affects personality, behavior, and language, and currently, there are no treatments available.

In an update shared online, the couple expressed their hope that any media attention would focus on raising awareness and research for this disease. "As Bruce's condition advances, we hope that any media attention can be focused on shining a light on this disease that needs far more awareness and research," they said.

The Alzheimer's Association defines FTD as a group of disorders caused by the loss of nerve cells in the brain's frontal lobes or temporal lobes. These areas are typically associated with personality, behavior, and language.

As Mabel celebrates her 11th birthday, her family is likely to be navigating this challenging time together, cherishing every moment they spend with their loved ones.

Ugh, can't believe Emma Heming Willis is posting all these sappy family photos on Instagram just to celebrate her daughter's birthday... meanwhile, Bruce Willis' dementia diagnosis is still a major concern. Like, what's the point of sharing happy memories when you're dealing with something as serious as FTD? And let's be real, this disease doesn't care about anyone's "energy" or "smile"... it's just going to take away their loved ones one by one ๐Ÿ˜”

๐Ÿ˜Š The way Emma Heming Willis chose to share a heartwarming tribute to her daughter's birthday is truly endearing. It's beautiful to see how she's using social media as a platform to celebrate Mabel's growth and personality, while also subtly bringing attention to the challenges their family is facing with Bruce Willis' diagnosis ๐Ÿค•.

It's interesting to note how Heming Willis has used her Instagram post to raise awareness for frontotemporal dementia, highlighting the importance of research and education about this disease. By doing so, she's not only honoring her daughter but also contributing to a greater understanding of FTD, which is essential for finding potential treatments ๐ŸŒŸ.

As Mabel grows older, it's clear that her parents are navigating uncharted territory, balancing their love and support with the need to confront this complex and challenging condition. One can only hope that their family will continue to find strength in each other as they face this journey together ๐Ÿ’•.

Ugh, can you believe it's been so long since Bruce was diagnosed? It feels like just yesterday he was still acting in Die Hard ๐Ÿคฃ... anyway, I'm a bit worried about Mabel growing up too fast, but at the same time, I love that her mom is already sharing all these adorable family photos and videos. Emma Heming Willis is literally the best, right? ๐Ÿ’• I can imagine how tough this whole FTD thing must be on their family, especially Bruce's kids from his other marriage... my heart goes out to them ๐Ÿค—

I dont think sharing sentimental pics of ur kid on instagram is a good idea at all ๐Ÿค”... like, cant u just have a private celebration or something? And whats with all these emotional videos too? Sounds like a lot of pressure on the kid to be all emotional and stuff ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. And btw, how old are they gonna get before Emma starts posting about her mental health struggles or whatever? ๐Ÿšฎ I mean, i know dementia is serious but come on, dont use ur platform for sympathy lol

I feel so bad for the Willis fam ๐Ÿค•. Bruce's diagnosis is like, super sad news ๐Ÿ’”. Frontotemporal dementia sounds like a total nightmare ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. I bet it's hard to see your dad going through this and Mabel growing up without her dad by her side ๐Ÿค—.

But in a silver lining kinda way, Emma's post is all about spreading love and positivity โค๏ธ. And who can blame her? Family photos are always the best way to celebrate life, right? ๐Ÿ“ธ

I've been thinking... we should totally make more awareness about FTD ๐Ÿ‘€. It's like, super important that people know more about it so we can raise more research funds ๐Ÿ’ฐ.

Mabel's coming up on preteen-ness and I'm sure she'll have some major moments to look back on ๐ŸŽ‰. We gotta wish her a happy birthday and send love to the whole Willis fam ๐Ÿฅณ!

๐Ÿค— I'm so glad Emma Heming Willis is using social media to spread love and positivity. That heartfelt tribute to Mabel's 11th birthday was exactly what we need more of in today's world. โค๏ธ But you know, it got me thinking... how cool would it be if Mabel grew up with a tablet or a portable AI assistant that could help her learn about dementia and FTD? It could be such an amazing tool to educate kids about this disease and raise awareness from a young age! ๐Ÿค“๐Ÿ“š

OMG u no what's so crazy about this? Like Bruce Willis was in a bunch of movies and now he has dementia ๐Ÿคฏ and his wife Emma just shared these adorable pics of her daughter Mabel who's almost 12! I feel bad for her cuz, I mean, she's gotta be dealing with all this stress and worry while trying to make sure her little girl is okay. And can we talk about how cute those family photos are? ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿ˜Š I love how Emma's praising Mabel and saying how proud she is of her... that's so sweet! But like, what's frontotemporal dementia even? ๐Ÿค” Is it like Alzheimer's but different? My grandma had Alzheimer's and it was so sad to see her struggle with things... anywayz, I just wanna wish Emma and Bruce all the best and hope they can get through this together ๐Ÿ’•

๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ Mabel's gotta be one lucky kid to have a mom like Emma Heming Willis, always flooding her Instagram with adorable pics and vids ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿ’•. I mean, who needs personal space when you've got an entire family's worth of memories on display? ๐Ÿ˜‚ On a more serious note, it's lovely that she's sharing these heartfelt moments with the world โ€“ maybe it'll help raise some awareness about FTD and get people talking about how to support those affected ๐Ÿค. Bruce and Emma are a beautiful couple, and Mabel seems like a sweetie pie ๐Ÿ‘ง. Wishing them all the love and positivity in the midst of this challenging time โค๏ธ.
