Young Stars Shine at Under-17 Women's World Cup: A Look at Six Standouts

The 2025 Under-17 Women's World Cup has kicked off in Morocco, with talented young players from around the world making a name for themselves on the global stage. While some teams have faltered, others have shown remarkable promise and potential.

One team that has been hard to ignore is Italy, led by the talented Giulia Galli. The 17-year-old forward has been instrumental in her country's success, scoring five goals in the group stages and helping her team advance with ease. Galli's impressive form extends beyond the tournament, as she has also been making waves for Roma's senior team, scoring her first goal for the club in their Serie A Women's Cup fixture against Milan.

Brazil is another country that has shown its mettle at this young age. Giovanna Waksman, a 16-year-old forward from Rio de Janeiro, has already made a name for herself with Brazil's Under-17 team. The talented player has scored three goals in the tournament so far and has consistently impressed onlookers with her natural skill and understanding of the game.

North Korea is another nation that has been quietly making waves at this level. Fifteen-year-old Kim Won-sim has been instrumental in her country's success, scoring two goals against Cameroon and helping her team advance to the knockout stage. Her impressive form extends beyond the tournament, as she has also shown a strong work ethic and innate technical ability.

Spain is another team that has benefited from the emergence of Carlota Chácon. The 17-year-old forward has scored four goals in the group stages, helping her country qualify for the knockouts with ease. Chácon's impressive form extends beyond the tournament, as she has also shown strong aerial ability and a clinical finish inside the box.

Nigeria's Queen Joseph has been another player to emerge from this tournament, scoring three goals and showcasing her electric pace and finishing ability. Despite facing tough opposition in Canada and France, Joseph helped her team salvage their campaign with a 4-0 victory against Samoa.

Finally, there is Nyanya Touray of the United States. The 17-year-old forward has already scored four goals at this tournament, equalling the record for most goals scored by an American at an Under-17 Women's World Cup. Touray's impressive form extends beyond the tournament, as she also showed her ability to finish with clinical precision in a recent Four Nations Tournament.

These young players are the future of women's football, and their performances so far have been nothing short of outstanding. As they continue to grow and develop, fans around the world will be watching them closely to see how they progress and contribute to their respective national teams.

😍 I'm literally shook by these young stars! Italy's Giulia Galli is EVERYTHING on the field 🤩 her skill level is insane! And Brazil's Giovanna Waksman? Girl can score goals for days 💥 16 and already making waves in the football world. North Korea's Kim Won-sim might be a dark horse, I love how quiet they're going under the radar. Spain's Carlota Chácon is giving me LIFE with that aerial ability 🤯 Nigeria's Queen Joseph is so fast it's scary 😲 and Nyanya Touray from the US? 4 goals in one tournament?! what is this girl even capable of? I'm hyped for these young guns, can't wait to see what they do next! 👏

🤩 I'm loving the talent on display at the Under-17 Women's World Cup! It's amazing to see these young players already making a name for themselves in the football world. Giulia Galli from Italy is definitely one to watch, her skill and goal-scoring record are insane! 🙌

But you know what's also cool? The fact that there are so many countries producing talented young female footballers. It shows that women's football is really starting to gain momentum and that the future of the sport is looking bright. 💫

On a more serious note, it's also great to see players like Kim Won-sim from North Korea showing her skills despite the challenges her country faces. Her work ethic and technical ability are truly impressive! 🙏

One thing that does worry me though is the physicality of women's football. I know it's still a developing sport, but I'm concerned that we're not doing enough to protect these young players from injuries. 🤕 We need to make sure they have access to top-notch medical care and training methods.

Anyway, can't wait to see how these talented young players develop in the next few years! 🤔👍

I'm not convinced by all this fuss about these young players... I mean, sure they're talented and all but let's not forget that football is just a game 🤔. And these tournaments are just breeding grounds for injuries and burnout. Have you seen the schedule for this tournament? They're playing like 3-4 matches in a row with barely any rest time 🏥. That's not how to develop young players, if you ask me.

And what about the cost of all this? The equipment, the travel, the coaching... it adds up quickly 💸. Not to mention the pressure on these kids to perform. They're being hailed as "stars" before they've even turned 18 🤯. I just don't think it's healthy for their mental and emotional well-being.

I'm not saying they won't go on to do great things in the sport, but let's keep things in perspective here 😊. We shouldn't be focusing all our attention on these tournaments when we should be supporting them in their everyday lives as well 👍.

omg can u believe how talented these 17 yr olds r!!! Giulia Galli from Italy is like a total goal machine 🔥, and Giovanna Waksman from Brazil has skills for days 🤩. And North Korea's Kim Won-sim is like a ninja on the pitch 🎯! Carlota Chácon from Spain is another player who's just blowing away coaches & fans alike 😍.

the thing that impresses me most is how well these teams are working together 🤝. They're like a well-oiled machine, communicating on the pitch and executing their plays flawlessly 💪. And it's not just about the goals - it's about the whole team's performance 🔒.

Queen Joseph from Nigeria is another player who's got my vote 🤝, and Nyanya Touray from the US is like a total rockstar 🤘! These young ladies are gonna take over women's football soon 💪, so watch out world!

I don't know how much longer I can take all these under-17s getting all the hype. They're just going to get hurt, fail out of college, or never make it in the pros. Mark my words... 😒

And what's with all these "talented" players? Most of them are just natural-born winners who have a parent who's some famous soccer player. Giulia Galli and Giovanna Waksman might be good now, but they're probably going to burn out by 20.

North Korea is basically just copying everyone else's moves on the field. Kim Won-sim is probably just as bad off the field as she is on it... or worse.

Spain's Carlota Chácon is cute and all, but we've seen this before with Spanish soccer players. They're always the "darlings" of the sport until they fail to deliver under pressure.

Queen Joseph from Nigeria seems like a solid player, but she's got some major competition coming her way from other African nations. She might not even make it back to the U.S. squad in two years... 🤔

Nyanya Touray is just going to be another American soccer player who thinks they can play professionally but ends up getting injured and never making it past the youth league... 💔

omg i'm so hyped for these young stars 🤩! its amazing to see Giulia Galli and Giovanna Waksman lighting up the pitch with their skills, i mean, 5 goals already? 🤯 that's some serious talent right there!!! and kim won-sim from north korea is a total beast on the field too, her work ethic and technique are top notch 💪. and can we talk about Carlota Chácon for a sec? she's got some serious skills in the air, i love how she finishes with such precision 🙌. and queen joseph from nigeria is giving me life with her electric pace and finishing ability, she's like a super nova on the field 💥! these young players are gonna take over the world of football one day, mark my words 😎

I don’t usually comment but I just saw this article about the 2025 Under-17 Women's World Cup and it's crazy how talented these young players are 🤩! Italy's Giulia Galli is literally a superstar at such a young age, she's already making waves in their senior team too. And Brazil's Giovanna Waksman, oh man she's got skills for days 💥. I don’t know if it’s fair to say that the younger generation is gonna take over but these kids are definitely giving the big guns a run for their money 😎.

🤩 These young girls are seriously impressive! I mean, Giulia Galli from Italy is on fire 🌟, scoring goals left and right, and she's already making waves in the senior team too! And then there's Giovanna Waksman from Brazil, who's basically got that Brazil magic 💫 going on. The way North Korea's Kim Won-sim is playing, it's like she's been doing this since she was 5 😂!

I'm also loving Carlota Chácon from Spain - her aerial ability and finishing skills are insane! 🤯 And Queen Joseph from Nigeria... wow, what a pace she has! It's like she's leaving defenders in the dust ⚡️. And Nyanya Touray from the US is just killing it 💥, scoring that record-breaking 4th goal and looking super confident.

These young players are going to change the game for real. The talent is just overflowing 🌊, and I'm excited to see how they'll grow and develop over the next few years. Can't wait to watch them take on the best teams in the world! 😆
