I'm so sorry to hear about Fuzzy Zoeller's passing 
. Honestly tho, it's crazy that he made that racist comment against Tiger Woods back in 1997... I mean, come on! 
You'd think a three-time Masters winner would've had more class than that. Anyway, it's good to see his legacy being honored with the Bob Jones Award in '85 – sportsmanship matters, right? 
And it's sad he didn't get to share that same classiness off the course 
. Still, his on-course achievements are undeniable, and I'm glad we got to see him bring home those eight PGA Tour victories

It's crazy to think he was apologized for and moved on from that mistake, but at the same time, his apology did seem genuine. 
Anyway, Fuzzy Zoeller might not be as well-known today as he was back in the day, but I think we can appreciate his golf legacy even with all the controversy. 
especially that incident in 97 where he said something racist towards tiger woods i feel bad for tiger who's already dealing with so much stuff off the course anyway zoeller did seem to learn from it and moved forward with his career still its crazy to think about how one moment can define you but zoeller's legacy will always be a bit complicated 
... wait, no, that wasn't that bad, it was just a stupid mistake, everyone makes those sorts of things happen, right?

. But hey, at least he learned from his mistakes and became an advocate for diversity in golf. That's like birdie-ing your way out of trouble, right?
