I just saw this adaptation of High Noon and I gotta say, Billy Crudup is pure fire as Will Kane
. The way he brings that sense of urgency and purpose to the role is seriously inspiring! But, for real, some of the supporting cast felt a bit meh to me - I mean, Harvey Pell could've been fleshed out more, you know?
But what really got me was how they incorporated Springsteen's music into the story. It's like he's speaking directly to America right now
. The way Gough shines in her solo numbers is EVERYTHING
. And that set design by Tim Hatley? Mind blown
.
I love how this production brings a fresh perspective to the classic Western, even if it doesn't quite hit its full potential yet
. Still, I'm here for it! The themes of collective inaction and civic responsibility are SO relevant right now
. Bring on the drama, bring on the tension, and let's get ready for some justice!
