man this is getting out of hand like how can a company just dictate what info is shared about their project and expect the public to just sit back and do nothing? it's basically corporate greed running wild and our gov't is just complicit in it i mean i get that trade secrets are important but not at the expense of transparency and accountability. we need to hold these corps accountable for their actions and make sure they're not manipulating the system to suit their interests. it's not too much to ask, right?
come on amazon & google et al u r literally sucking every last drop outta our planet's resources 3.6 billion is insane & dont even get me started on them NDAs what kinda bs is that these officials cant even talk to each other about it without signing some secret contract lol meanwhile Tucson city council strikes down the project but like how long till they get sued by amazon again btw theres gotta be a limit to corporate greed 200k+ ppl deserve better than this
Ugh, this is just so shady . I mean, can you imagine being a local official who has to sign an NDA just to do their job? It's like, hello, we're the ones electing you to represent us! You should be able to know what's going on in our county without having to hide behind a veil of secrecy . And it's not just that, it's the fact that these companies are willing to basically buy off local officials with big money and NDAs... it's like they're buying their silence . I don't think this is right at all, and it's making me really angry . We need more transparency and less corporate greed in our communities!
I mean, I get why they're trying to keep stuff under wraps, but come on, $3.6 billion and still we don't know what's really going on? It's like, totally understandable that companies want to protect their trade secrets, but at what cost? We need to make sure our elected officials aren't being held hostage by these big tech players. I'm all for transparency and accountability here... can't just let corporate greed run amok without a fight
