Hudson’s Detroit announces rooftop bar Pine Hall - Detroit Metro Times

Detroit's Hudson’s Tower Set to Unveil Rooftop Bar Pine Hall This Spring

A new rooftop bar is set to open at Detroit's Hudson's tower, marking the city's latest addition to its thriving nightlife scene. Conceptualized by New York-based Union Square Hospitality Group, a James Beard Award-winning restaurant group behind Shake Shack and other popular eateries, Pine Hall is expected to become a neighborhood hotspot.

Scheduled to launch this spring, Pine Hall promises to be more than just another rooftop bar – it's a locals' joint designed to bring people together. According to Danny Meyer, Union Square Hospitality Group's founder, the goal is for Detroiters to make Pine Hall part of their regular rotation, a place where friends and neighbors can gather and enjoy good company.

With seating for around 300 guests, Pine Hall will feature an expansive outdoor deck offering breathtaking views of downtown Detroit. The bar's design is centered around creating an intimate atmosphere, perfect for catching up with friends or meeting new people. As Meyer puts it, "Our hope is that Detroiters make it part of their regular rotation, a locals joint that brings people together and fits whatever the moment calls for."

While details about Pine Hall's menu and drink offerings remain scarce, one thing is certain – this rooftop bar is poised to become a beloved addition to Detroit's vibrant nightlife scene.

omg I'm so stoked they're opening up another rooftop bar in detroit 🤩! i've been to shake shack before and their food is amazing 🍔👌 it makes me wanna visit detroit more often 🗺️ i love the idea of a locals' joint where ppl can just chill and hang out with friends ☀️ it sounds like pine hall is gonna be super chill and cozy too 🤗 cant wait to see what they have on the menu and drink list, hopefully some yummy burgers or drinks 🍹👌

omg i'm so down for a new rooftop bar in detroit 🌆💛 they're actually trying to make it a locals' spot which i love, no more just some tourist trap 😊 hope the vibes are chill and not too expensive for us regular folks 💸 pine hall sounds like an awesome spot to catch up with friends or meet new people, seating for 300 guests is pretty good too 🤩 can't wait to check it out this spring 💦

I'm hyped for Pine Hall to open in the spring 🤩! A rooftop bar with a locals' vibe sounds perfect for the city. I'm all about it until they announce their drink prices 💸, hope they keep it reasonable. 300 guests might seem like a lot, but if it's a chill spot where people wanna hang out and catch up, I can get behind that 🤗. The views of downtown Detroit are gonna be insane, can't wait to grab a drink and take in the sights 📸. Danny Meyer's vision for Pine Hall as a community hub is really cool, let's hope they deliver on that 🙏. But, one thing I'm curious about is what kind of food will they serve – hoping it's not just your run-of-the-mill bar snacks 🍔🤷‍♀️!

I'm thinking... how cool will it be to have a new spot to hang out with friends in downtown Detroit? 🤩 I'm sure Pine Hall will be super popular, especially since it's designed for locals and not just tourists. I hope they have some awesome drink specials too! 300 seats is pretty chill, that way you can still feel like you're at your own backyard BBQ. Can't wait to try it out this spring 🌞

so detroit is getting another rooftop bar 🍹🌆 got a lot of love for pine hall already it sounds like its gonna be more than just a spot to grab a drink and chill, i mean with the name pine hall and all, its gotta bring people together right? cant wait to see how its gonna fit into the nightlife scene here, 300 guests seems pretty intimate for a bar so that's cool 🤞

Ugh, just another overpriced rooftop bar in a city that can't even get its rent-controlled apartments sorted out 😒. I'm sure it'll be just a fancy spot for yuppies and tourists to take Instagram-worthy pics while the locals are priced out of their own city 📸. And don't even get me started on the 'locals' joint' marketing spin - like it's gonna make a difference when they're charging $20 for a beer and serving bland, overpriced food 🍺🤢. Mark my words, Pine Hall will just be another example of how Detroit is being gentrified out of its soul 💔.

Ugh, another rooftop bar in Detroit? Like we didn't have enough of those already 🤯. I mean, what's next? A new Shake Shack downtown? Just kidding (kind of) 😜. Seriously though, Pine Hall sounds like a cool spot to hang out with friends and enjoy some good drinks. The outdoor deck views of the city are supposed to be on point - can't wait to check it out when it opens this spring 🌞. Fingers crossed they'll have more than just burgers and frozen yogurt on the menu... maybe something a little more adventurous? 😂

omg, another rooftop bar in detroit 🍹🏙️, i'm starting to think they're just trying to make the whole city look like a never-ending bachelor pad 😂! but seriously, pine hall sounds cool, more of a locals spot is just what detroit needs, no pretentious tourists taking over 🔥. and 300 guests? that's like, a small party for detroit standards 🎉, can't wait to see what kind of crazy events they have planned 🤪!

OMG, I'm super hyped for Pine Hall to open up in spring 🤩! It's like they took a page out of Brooklyn's best bars and brought it to the D 😎. I love how Danny Meyer is all about creating a locals' vibe - that's exactly what Detroit needs more of. A rooftop bar that feels like your living room, but with better views? Yes, please! 🍹🌆 I'm already imagining sipping on craft beers and catching up with friends while taking in the views of downtown. This is gonna be a game-changer for Detroit's nightlife scene, and I'm so here for it 😊.
