ICE agents have killed – again. The Trump administration blames the victim | Moira Donegan

A Minneapolis woman has been killed by ICE agents in an incident that highlights the Trump administration's escalating efforts to persecute the Somali community. Renee Nicole Good, 37, was declared dead on Wednesday after she attempted to stop deportation agents from abducting migrants. Her death came as thousands of deportation officers descended upon Minneapolis as part of a nationwide operation aimed at cracking down on undocumented immigrants.

According to eyewitnesses, Good's SUV was blocked by traffic as she tried to prevent ICE vehicles from passing. Agents then confronted her, yelling and shooting multiple times as she attempted to drive away. The vehicle crashed into another car, and Good died shortly after. Video footage shows the agents approaching her vehicle without warning, with one officer standing close enough to reach in and grab the driver.

Critics have accused Trump officials of demonizing Good and the protesters who were present at the scene. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem claimed that the woman was an "act of domestic terrorism," a characterization contradicted by witnesses and video evidence. The administration's efforts to justify this killing highlight their willingness to use violence against peaceful activists.

The death has sparked widespread outrage, with many calling for accountability from those responsible. Rep. Ilhan Omar has described Good as a "legal observer" who was simply exercising her right to protest. Others have praised the protesters who confronted the ICE agents, saying they were standing up against injustice and defending their communities.

This incident is just the latest example of ICE's violent tactics, which have resulted in numerous non-fatal shootings of American citizens and residents. In Chicago, a Mexican-born father was killed by ICE agents during an operation last month. A local resident, Marimar Martinez, survived being shot five times after she allegedly confronted DHS agents in her car.

Protesters across the US have been increasingly pushing back against these efforts, with many showing up to support migrant communities and resist deportation operations. While Trump officials seek to demonize activists like Good as "bigotry" or "tyranny," the reality is that ordinary Americans are standing up for their rights and those of others. As one witness said in a video clip shared on social media, "You can't kill us all."

The killing of Renee Nicole Good serves as a stark reminder of the escalating violence against immigrant communities under Trump's leadership. It also highlights the need for accountability from those responsible for these actions, as well as sustained resistance from ordinary Americans who refuse to be intimidated or silenced.

omg did you watch that new episode of "Stranger Things"? I just binge-watched it and I'm still reeling 🤯 Season 4 is like WHOA... the plot twist at the end? mind blown! anyway, back to this news... I mean, can't we just talk about something else for once? like have you tried that new avocado toast recipe on Instagram? it's literally so good 😍

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this one 🤯. I mean, I've seen some crazy stuff on the news before, but this is just sickening. Some lady, Renee Nicole Good, tries to stop ICE agents from deporting people and ends up getting shot multiple times 💀. And now she's dead? It's just not right.

And what's with all these Trump officials trying to spin it as some kind of domestic terrorism thing? 🙄 Like, no, it wasn't terrorism when peaceful protesters are just standing up for what's right. This is what happens when you demonize people who are just trying to make a difference ❤️.

I'm so tired of these ICE agents and their violent tactics 🚫. They're supposed to be enforcing the law, not shooting innocent people like they're some kind of enemy combatants 💥. And it's not just Renee Good - there are all these other stories out there about people getting shot or killed by these guys.

I'm all for standing up against injustice and fighting for what's right, but you can't do that without putting a gun to someone's head 🤬. It's just not how it works, folks. We need to find better ways to resolve our differences and treat each other with respect ❤️. This is getting out of hand, man...

ICE agents are getting away with murder 🚔😱 and still trying to blame the victims 🤷‍♀️? Renee Nicole Good was just a peaceful protester trying to stand up for what's right and this is how they repay her 💀? The fact that Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is claiming she was an "act of domestic terrorism" is just plain ridiculous 🙄. It's clear that Trump officials are more interested in silencing dissent than protecting their citizens' rights 👊. And let's not forget the countless others who have been shot or killed by ICE agents, including that Mexican-born father in Chicago 💔. We need to stand together and demand accountability for these violent actions 💪!

🤕 This is just heartbreaking... 37 years old, just trying to protect her community and now she's gone 💔. The way ICE agents handled this situation is absolutely terrifying - no warning, just sudden and violent confrontation 😱. And the characterization of Renee as an "act of domestic terrorism" by the Secretary? Unbelievable 🙄. It's clear that Trump officials are more interested in silencing dissent than protecting human life.

The lack of accountability from these agencies is staggering 🤯. They're literally getting away with murder, and people are still showing up to support migrant communities and resist deportation operations 💪. We need to hold our leaders accountable for their actions, especially when it comes to harming innocent civilians like Renee. This incident will not be in vain - we'll keep pushing back against this kind of systemic oppression until justice is served 🙏.

man this is so messed up 🤕 the usa needs to take responsibility for its own citizens' safety, especially when it comes to peaceful protesters like renee Nicole Good... i mean what's next? sending in the army to quash a bunch of folks exercising their rights at a community event? no way, that's just not how you keep communities safe or build trust... and btw, kristi Noem's "domestic terrorism" label is straight up ridiculous 😂 it's just more examples of trump administration's willingness to use fear & intimidation to get its way rather than address the real issues at hand...

this is just another example of how trump's policies are causing more problems than they're solving 🤕 ICE needs to take responsibility for their actions and stop using violence against innocent people. Renee Nicole Good was a peaceful protester trying to stand up for what she believed in, not an "act of domestic terrorism" as Kristi Noem claimed 😡. We need to call out the hypocrisy and hold those responsible accountable for their actions. The real issue here is the treatment of immigrant communities under trump's administration, it's time for some real change 🔄
