Literary calendar for week of Jan. 11

Book Lovers, Rejoice: What's Happening This Week

In St. Paul, chef and author JD Fratzke is set to celebrate the release of his new book "Dharma Butcher" with a musical evening at The Velvet Antler in The Gnome Pub. Fans can enjoy a tasting featuring recipes from the book, all accompanied by music by Molly Maher, starting at 4 p.m. on January 11.

Meanwhile, Peg Guilfoyle will be discussing her essay collection "An Eye for Joy" at Magers & Quinn, with the event being free but requiring registration in advance. The discussion is scheduled to take place on Thursday.

Also happening this week is a conversation between author Chandra Parkinson and yoga teacher Maria Tosto. Their talk revolves around spiritual cleansing and renewal, topics covered in their respective books "The Book of Ritual Baths" and "Heal What Hurts". The event will be held at Magers & Quinn on Wednesday.

Last but not least, Ricardo Levins Morales will be discussing his book "The Land Knows the Way: Eco-Social Insights for Liberation" as part of Friends of the St. Paul Public Library's Fireside Reading series. This event, also free and requiring registration, is scheduled to take place on a Wednesday at the Rondo Community Library.

These events are just around the corner, so mark your calendars and get ready to dive into the world of literature and beyond.

Omg, I'm so down for this literary weekend in St. Paul! πŸ“šπŸ’« There's gonna be so many amazing events happening, from JD Fratzke's musical book launch to Peg Guilfoyle's essay collection discussion. I love how Magers & Quinn is making all these events free and accessible - it's such a great way to foster a community of readers. πŸ’– Can't wait to learn about spiritual cleansing and renewal with Chandra Parkinson and Maria Tosto πŸ™πŸ’†β€β™€οΈ, and I'm totally geeking out for Ricardo Levins Morales' talk on eco-social insights #BookLoversUnite #LiteraryEvents #MagersAndQuinn

so stoked about all these awesome book events in St Paul this week πŸ€©πŸ“š! I mean, JD Fratzke's "Dharma Butcher" book release party sounds like an amazing combo of food, music, and vibes... i wish i could be there to try out the recipes πŸ˜‹. And peg guilfoyle's essay collection discussion at Magers & Quinn is also super cool - free event? yes please πŸ™Œ!

anyway, i was thinking about how we need more events like these in our community that celebrate literature and self-care... maybe something with some visual elements too πŸŽ¨πŸ“. like a "ritual bath" installation or a diagram of spiritual cleansing pathways πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈπŸ’†β€β™€οΈ.

also, richardo levins morales's book on eco-social insights for liberation is really important right now - we need more voices talking about the land and our connection to it 🌎. i hope many people can attend his fireside reading event at the Rondo Community Library πŸ’‘!

OMG, I'm so stoked about all these awesome book-related events happening this week! 🀩 There's literally something for everyone - from JD Fratzke's musical evening with recipes from his new book "Dharma Butcher" 🍴🎢 to Peg Guilfoyle's free discussion on her essay collection "An Eye for Joy". And can we talk about how cool it is that Ricardo Levins Morales is sharing his expertise on eco-social insights? πŸŒΏπŸ’‘ It just goes to show that books aren't just something you read, they're a way to connect with others and gain new perspectives. I'm defo marking my calendar for one (or all!) of these events! πŸ˜„

πŸ€” I'm telling you, something fishy is going down here... All these book launches and author talks happening in one week? It's like they're trying to distract us from something big. JD Fratzke's book "Dharma Butcher" seems legit, but what if it's just a cover for some deeper agenda? And those recipes served at the event? Probably infused with some sort of mind control substance... πŸ˜’ Just kidding, maybe I'm reading too much into this. BUT, have you noticed how all these events are happening in one week? It's like they're trying to create a vibe or something. Maybe we should be paying attention to what's really going on behind the scenes... πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™€οΈ

And you know what's even more awesome? They're all free! πŸ™Œ This just goes to show that knowledge and community are available to everyone, regardless of income or social status. Let's keep spreading this love for learning and growth πŸ’•πŸ“–

πŸ“š I'm not really sure how many books there are out there but it's awesome that people are getting together to celebrate new releases. I've heard of some of these authors before, they seem interesting. πŸ€” The fact that events like this one in St Paul are free is pretty cool too! πŸ‘
