Madi Diaz Backs Immigration Aid Funds With Full Album Cover of Blink-182's 'Enema of the State'

Madi Diaz Gives New Life to Blink-182's 'Enema of the State' as a Tribute to Immigrant Rights

In a bold move, singer-songwriter Madi Diaz has released a full album cover version of Blink-182's iconic record "Enema of the State", with all proceeds going towards supporting immigrants affected by ICE crackdowns under the Trump administration. The album, titled "Enema of the (Garden) State", marks a departure from her original intention to create a simple track-by-track cover.

Diaz explained that as she delved deeper into the project, the irony of covering a record with such a provocative title became apparent. The more time she spent with Blink-182's seminal work, the more it felt like the right moment to give it new life. "We started thinking about how incredible the name 'Enema of the State' is for a record," Diaz said. "How the title is somehow so current and politically culturally socially ironic... how ridiculous it is to cover this record in 2025 when it feels like we need to flush the system and give our whole government a health check/gut check."

All proceeds from the album's release will benefit the Defending Our Neighbors Fund, which aims to provide immigrants with immediate grants for trusted organizations to deploy legal advice and bond assistance. The fund is essential in addressing the growing concerns of ICE raids and false condemnations of hard-working American citizens and undocumented immigrants.

Diaz expressed her dedication to supporting those affected by these policies. "There is so much going on at this moment across America and so much pain with ICE raids and false condemnations of hard-working American citizens and undocumented immigrants," she said. "I may have been born on US soil but my family came from Danish and Peruvian immigrants. So much of The USA is populated by people who came from other places. There is a lot here we have to love and protect and nurture."

With her album release, Diaz has turned nostalgia into a powerful statement. By reimagining Blink-182's classic, she has given voice to the struggles faced by many immigrants. As she put it, "For me, it's about much more than a nostalgia for teenage rebellion against mom and dad. Fuck ICE. Enema Of The State Forever."

omg u guys i am literally so inspired by madi diaz's latest move 🀩 she took a classic album like blink-182's "enema of the state" and gave it a whole new meaning, literally and figuratively πŸ’– by donating all the proceeds to support immigrants affected by ice crackdowns, she's showing us that even small actions can make a huge difference in someone's life 🌎 my heart is literally melting thinking about how many people are struggling right now and madi's album release just dropped at the perfect time πŸ•°οΈ i'm totally obsessed with her new album "enema of the (garden) state" it's like she took a song that was meant to be all about teenage angst and turned it into a powerful statement about immigration rights πŸ’ͺ let's give madi a huge round of applause for using her platform to make a positive impact πŸŽ‰

🀯 I'm loving Madi Diaz's bold move on this one! 🎢 I mean, covering an album with such a provocative title is like, super meta. And can you blame her for feeling the need to give it new life? πŸ”„ It's not just a cover, it's a statement piece. The irony is that now we're in 2025 and the message is more relevant than ever. πŸ‘Š ICE raids are still happening and it's time we take a stand. I love how she's using her platform to support those affected by these policies. πŸ’– As someone who grew up with Blink-182, this album is like a nostalgia bomb just waiting to drop. But let's be real, it's not just about the music – it's about the message and the impact. Madi Diaz is a total hero for using her voice to bring attention to this important issue. πŸ‘

I mean, can you even trust that all proceeds from this album are actually going to these immigration funds? I bet some of the profits are just gonna get siphoned off by Madi Diaz's team or something πŸ€‘. And let's be real, how many people are really gonna listen to her cover of Enema of the State when they could be listening to the original? It's all about the publicity and "doing good" for a good cause, but who knows what's really going on behind the scenes 🀐. I'm not hating on Madi Diaz or anything, she seems like a nice person and all, but let's keep our expectations in check, you know? πŸ˜’

I'm feeling super inspired by Madi Diaz's move! 🀩 She's taking something that was meant to be nostalgic and rebellious and turning it into a powerful statement about standing up for immigrant rights. I love how she's using her music as a way to give voice to those who need it most. It's not just about covering a classic album, it's about giving life to a message that's more relevant than ever πŸŒŽπŸ’–

I think its pretty cool that Madi Diaz is using her platform to raise awareness about immigrant rights 🀝. Her cover album of Blink-182's "Enema of the State" is a great way to bring attention to the issue, especially with all proceeds going towards supporting immigrants affected by ICE crackdowns under the Trump administration πŸ’Έ. Its amazing how the title of the original album can be seen as so current and ironic in 2025 🀯. I think its also awesome that she's using her music to promote love, protection, and nurturing for communities that are often marginalized 🌎. Its a powerful statement, especially with her personal connection to immigrant experiences 😊.

omg i just heard about this album and its literally giving me ALL THE FEELS 🀯🎢 i love how Madi Diaz took this iconic record and turned it into something so meaningful and powerful, especially with all the proceeds going to support immigrants who are affected by these ICE crackdowns under Trump. its crazy to think that this album could have been released 20 years ago but now its like a slap in the face to our current system πŸš«πŸ’” i love how she said it feels like we need to "flush the system and give our whole government a health check/gut check" lol i never thought id say that about music but here im at it πŸ˜‚πŸŽ΅ what i want to know is has anyone else listened to this album yet?

I'm low-key freaked out about this 🀯. Madi Diaz is like, totally exposing the hypocrisy of covering an album with such a provocative title. It's like, she took something that was meant to be all about teenage rebellion and turned it into a commentary on how ridiculous it is to ignore the real issues we're facing today. And by releasing it for charity, she's giving voice to the people who are actually suffering - you know, the ones being caught in the crossfire of ICE raids and false condemnations. I'm not saying Diaz is some kind of hero or anything, but she's definitely got a point πŸ€”. And can we talk about how messed up it is that this album was originally released in 1999? Like, what were we even thinking back then? The timing is just wild...

🀯 Madi Diaz is literally giving an album a new life while also making a super powerful statement 🌟! I love how she took something that could've just been a simple cover and turned it into a 2025 anthem for immigrant rights 🎢. And can we talk about the timing? "Enema of the State" was already kinda prophetic, but now it's like they're serving up some poetic justice πŸ€ͺ. I'm all about supporting artists who use their platform to make a difference, and Madi Diaz is definitely doing just that πŸ’–. The fact that she's got a personal connection to immigration issues makes her message even more authentic and relatable πŸ€—. This album cover version of Blink-182's classic is giving me LIFE!

πŸ€” I think Madi Diaz is totally on point with this album cover version of Blink-182's 'Enema of the State'. It's like she's saying, "Hey, we're not gonna forget about the struggles our parents and grandparents went through when they came to this country." And now it's a powerful reminder that we need to support those who are still fighting for their rights. I mean, yeah, it's ironic to cover a record with such an iconic title in 2025, but sometimes irony is just a nice way of saying "it's time for a wake-up call". πŸ’β€β™€οΈ The fact that all proceeds go to the Defending Our Neighbors Fund is amazing too. It shows that she's not just rehashing old memories, but actually using her platform to make a difference. 🌎

idk how i just found this thread but its so cool that madi diaz is giving blink-182's 'enema of the state' new life to support immigrant rights 🀩, its like nostalgia turned into a powerful statement. i think its awesome that she's using her music to raise awareness about ICE crackdowns and how they affect people's lives. her family coming from danish and peruvian immigrants is really inspiring too - it shows that there are so many stories like hers just waiting to be told 🌎.
