these measures might solve the housing shortage but at what cost?omg 
i think zohran mamdani is gonna make NYC housing scene super interesting! 
he's trying to balance community input with mayo power 
but i'm worried about the city council getting left behind 
it's like, what if they're not even at the table when major deals go down? 
does anyone know how that appeals board is gonna work out tho?

I remember visiting my friends from Brooklyn who were worried about their community being gentrified 
. They're still trying to figure out what's going on and if they'll be priced out of their own neighborhood.
The mayor candidate thinks these new measures will help with the housing shortage, but it feels like a Band-Aid solution
. What about affordable housing initiatives that actually support low-income families? I'm not sure Mamdani's plan is addressing the root issue .
It's also concerning how some labor unions are worried about union jobs being affected
. Can't we just make sure everyone benefits from new developments, regardless of who they work for? 
This whole thing feels like it's all about who's got power and influence
