Man Utd: Michael Carrick on celebrating winning run

Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick says winning is what players are in the game for, and that not celebrating victories would be 'boring and pointless'. The former midfielder has been at the helm of the team since replacing Ruben Amorim last month and has overseen four consecutive wins, with his focus now on securing a Champions League spot.

When asked if he thinks there's a need to be careful not to get too carried away after such success, Carrick says: "You can't just be flat-lined all the time. You have to feel the waves of emotion. It would all be a little bit boring and pointless if you didn't, because winning games is what we all strive for."

The team's run has been boosted by several players who are determined to keep their feet on the ground, though some may be looking to get some recognition with their unique hairstyles. For example, midfielder Frank Ilett has become popular after saying he won't cut his hair until United win five consecutive games, a claim that wasn't met with universal approval among fans.

Carrick admits that while some players like Ilett have taken the motivation on themselves, there's no one 'right way' to celebrate successes and find team spirit.

players gotta learn when 2 b happy with success ๐Ÿ™„... cant just b all about the wins, gotta feel the emotion too ๐Ÿ’” 5 consecutive wins aint bad tho ๐Ÿคฉ but it's how u handle it that matters, not just how u celebrate ๐ŸŽ‰

THE TEAM'S WAVE OF EMOTION NEEDS TO BE BALANCED WITH REALITY, OR IT'LL JUST BE A BUNCH OF OVERPAID PLAYERS BEING OVER THE TOP ๐Ÿคฃ! FRANK ILETT'S HAIR STANDOFF IS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF HOW NOT EVERYONE TAKES THIS SORT OF THING SERIOUSLY. BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY, CARRICK'S POINT IS RIGHT - WINNING IS WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT AND IF YOU'RE NOT FELTING SOME KIND OF EMOTION WHEN YOU WIN, THEN YOU'RE JUST GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS ๐Ÿ’ช

Ugh ๐Ÿค•, can you even imagine a Manchester United team without all this drama? I mean, they're already struggling in the league and now this "motivation" thing is causing problems? Frank Ilett and his ridiculous hair challenge... who cares about some stupid haircut, right? ๐Ÿ˜’ And what's with these players feeling like they need to take it upon themselves to boost morale? It's just gonna be a mess. Carrick says keep the emotions in check, but I'm pretty sure this is just gonna be a recipe for disaster... ๐Ÿ’”

I think it's refreshing to see Carrick prioritizing winning as the ultimate goal over team morale ๐Ÿ˜Š. His approach might not be for everyone, but it's interesting to note how some players like Ilett are using their unique personalities to boost the team's spirits ๐Ÿคช. While I appreciate his emphasis on feeling emotions and celebrating wins, I'm not sure if we should dismiss those who prefer a more low-key attitude ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™‚๏ธ. Ultimately, what matters is that the team is performing well and working towards a common goal โšฝ๏ธ.

I'm loving this new era of Manchester United ๐Ÿ™Œ! Carrick seems like a breath of fresh air, you know? He's bringing a sense of excitement back to Old Trafford and his players are responding beautifully ๐Ÿ˜Š. I mean, can you blame them for wanting to celebrate wins with a bit of flair? It's football, mate! But at the same time, I get what Carrick is saying - you can't just be dull all the time ๐Ÿ™„. It's about finding that balance between being humble and enjoying the moment. And those hairstyles? Forget about it! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Ilett might've gotten roasted by the fans for his ridiculous hair challenge, but hey, at least he's got spirit ๐Ÿ’‡โ€โ™‚๏ธ!

I totally get where Michael Carrick is coming from, but it's also a bit worrying to see some of these young lads getting carried away with their antics ๐Ÿคช. I mean, yes, winning is what it's all about, but not every win needs to be a big celebration party ๐ŸŽ‰. I remember when my own kids were at school, they'd get so excited after a match that they'd end up in tears if things didn't go right ๐Ÿ˜”. You need some balance, you know? And what's with this business about players having unique hairstyles just to get recognition? It's all a bit much, innit? ๐Ÿ™„

I don't get why these guys are makin' a big deal about celebratin' wins ๐Ÿค”. Just 'cause it's not their style doesn't mean it's gonna hurt anyone's feelin's ๐Ÿ˜. The fact that some players are rockin' weird hairstyles just 'cause they won or lost is pretty funny lol ๐Ÿ‘€. I guess if you're lookin' for a team to vibe with, United's the one ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
