**Product Details**

* Model: Surface Laptop (7th Edition, 2024)
* Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus or X Elite
* RAM: 16 GB
* Storage: 512 GB SSD
* Display: 13.5-inch touchscreen with 3:2 aspect ratio and 120-Hz refresh rate

The reviewer was not particularly impressed with the performance of the processor, citing issues with AI-related features. However, they did note that the laptop performed well for everyday use and productivity.

**Pricing**

* Base model (10-core Snapdragon X Plus, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD): $849 (down from $1,200)
* Upgraded model (12-core Snapdragon X Elite, same specs as base model): $1,000 (down from $1,500)

Overall, the reviewer seemed to be lukewarm about the Surface Laptop's performance and features, but it may still be a good option for those looking for a solid Windows laptop with a touchscreen display.

man i'm so down for that 13.5-inch touchscreen tho 📱 it's like having a mini tablet in laptop form... but the Snapdragon processor is kinda a letdown imo, especially when you're expecting AI features to be top-notch 🤖 and honestly, $849 for the base model is still a bit steep considering all the other options out there... i mean, if they wanted to make it competitive with the MacBooks or whatever, they'd have to bump up the specs a notch 💪

I'm kinda underwhelmed by this new Surface Laptop 7th Edition... 🤔 I mean, sure, it's got all the right specs on paper - powerful processor, ample RAM, and SSD storage... but when you think about it, is that really what we're after in a laptop? Is it just about checking off boxes or is there something more at play here?

I was reading this review and I couldn't help but feel like the reviewer was missing the point. They were nitpicking over the processor's performance for AI-related features, which seems kinda narrow-minded to me... 🤷‍♂️ Like, what about all the other stuff we want to do on our laptops? Gaming, video editing, streaming - are those things going away too?

And then there's the price point. $849 is a good deal, but I feel like that's just the starting point for people who don't know any better... 🤑 We're already at $1,000 for the upgraded model? That's some serious inflation right there.

I guess what I'm saying is, it's not about whether or not this laptop is "good enough" - it's about our own expectations and values. Are we just settling for mediocrity or do we want something more? 🤔

meh, so I just checked out this new Microsoft Surface Laptop thingy... 🤔 I gotta say, I'm kinda surprised they dropped the price by like $350 for that base model. seems like they're trying to make it more accessible to people who want a decent laptop for everyday use. but at the same time, 10-core Snapdragon X Plus just sounds kinda... meh? I mean, what's going on with those AI features, can't even get that right lol 😂. and yeah, the touchscreen display is still a nice touch, but it feels like they're playing catch-up with Apple or something. overall, I'd say it's a solid option if you're in the market for a Windows laptop, but don't expect to be blown away by performance 📊

I gotta say, I'm kinda surprised by the price drop for the base model 😊. Like, who wouldn't want a snappy Windows laptop with a gorgeous 3:2 screen? But I'm also glad Microsoft is trying to make it more accessible to people on a budget 🤑.

For me, I think the real game-changer here is the processor upgrade 🚀. The Snapdragon X Elite sounds like a beast of a chip! I've had some friends who swear by this new-gen tech and how seamless their workflow is 💻.

Still, I can see why the reviewer might be underwhelmed with the performance on AI-related features 🤔. Maybe it's just not as flashy as the marketing makes out? Either way, if you're looking for a reliable, no-nonsense laptop that gets the job done, this Surface Laptop (7th Edition) is definitely worth considering 👍.

I mean, I've seen some of these new laptops come out and just can't believe how pricey they are 🤯! A thousand bucks for a machine that's supposed to do everyday stuff? That's crazy to me. I still have my old HP from back in the day and it's served me just fine for years. Don't get me wrong, I love the touchscreen idea, but sometimes less is more, you know?

I'm still getting used to these new laptops lol... I mean, 13.5-inch is kinda small for me but i guess some people would like that. I'm more of a 15-inch kinda guy myself 🤷‍♂️. Performance-wise, it's alright, not exactly blowing my mind, but it gets the job done. I'm curious about those AI features though, maybe they'll get some updates soon? The price drop is nice tho, def considering getting one for work or something 👀

I'm not sure I agree with this review 😐. The new Snapdragon processor sounds like a big upgrade, and 120-Hz refresh rate is pretty sweet. I think the base model at $849 is a decent price point too. I mean, it's still on the pricier side, but you get a solid Windows laptop with a touchscreen display - that's gotta be worth something to me! 👍

🤔 I mean, for a price drop of like 300 bucks, you'd think the processor would've gotten a major boost 🤑 But they're keeping it the same and now it's basically just a laptop with a fancy screen 😐 It's still solid for everyday stuff tho, but if you need some serious AI processing power, I dunno... 🤷‍♂️ Maybe consider that new Asgard laptop everyone's been talking about 👀

I think 120-Hz refresh rate is kinda overkill for a 13.5-inch screen 🤔📊. Like, most people aren't gonna notice the difference at that speed 😐. And the price drop is nice, but still feels a bit steep for what you get, especially considering those AI-related features are a letdown 😐💻. Overall, it's like... a solid laptop, I guess? Not gonna blow your mind, but if you need something reliable for everyday use, this might be the ticket 📚💸

I'm not a huge fan of the new Surface Laptop, but I can see why some people might like it 🤔

Here's my take on the pros and cons:

**Drawbacks:** The processor is kinda underwhelming, especially if you're into AI-related stuff. It's also pretty pricey, even with the discount 🤑.

**Pros:** Still a solid Windows laptop with a touchscreen display - that's gotta be worth something! And hey, it's a great option for everyday use and productivity tasks 📊

But, honestly, I'd have to say it's not blowing me away 😐. For the price, you could get a similar laptop from another brand and still have some cash left over 💸.

Oh, and one more thing - that 3:2 aspect ratio is pretty neat! 👀 It's like having a big ol' tablet in your lap 📱

im kinda surprised theyre selling the surface laptop at like 20% discount lol, especially the upgraded model. i mean, its still a decent laptop, but is the new snapdragon x elite processor really worth that extra 250 bucks? havent heard much about this thing being a performance beast or anything 🤔

idk why they even bothered comin out with another gen of surface laptops... processor is still trash, i mean who needs to do ai stuff on their laptop lol? 512gb ssd is pretty meh too, it's like, what's the point if you're just gonna fill it up with movies or somethin. and $849 base model? that's still kinda pricey imo. upgraded model is a bit more reasonable i guess, but only 'cause it's got slightly better specs. honestly, i'd rather stick with my old lenovo thinkpad tbh

I gotta say, I'm not surprised by these prices - we've gotten used to tech being super expensive 🤑. But you know what? $849 is still a pretty penny, and you gotta wonder if it's worth the cost. Is it just me, or do we need to redefine what "value" means in this age of tech? I mean, I've seen some of these smaller laptops that pack more power than my old desktop at a fraction of the price 🤯. It makes you think about how much we're willing to spend on convenience vs. actual performance.

And can we talk about the whole "everyday use and productivity" thing? Is that just code for "it's fine, I guess"? Because if so, then what are we really paying for here? Are we paying for a laptop that'll get the job done, or are we paying for a status symbol? It's like they say, you get what you pay for... but is that always true? 🤔

idk what to make of this new surface laptop... think its got some good points, like that 120-hz refresh rate on the display is a nice touch 😊. also, 512 gb ssd is pretty standard now, so thats a plus. but, yeah, processor performance did seem kinda lacking in my opinion 🤔. i mean, $849 for that base model still feels a bit steep considering its specs... might be worth waiting for some updates or discounts?
