A packed slate of basketball games unfolded across the Chicago area on this holiday Monday, with numerous teams in action as they kicked off their winter season.
In non-conference matchups, Christian Life took on Ida Crown at 7:30 PM, while Kaneland faced Sandwich at 7:00 PM. Meanwhile, Kankakee Trinity went head-to-head with Illinois Lutheran at 7:00 PM, and Chicago Richards battled it out against Julian also at 7:00 PM.
In Batavia, Maine East squared off against Marmion at 6:00 PM, followed by Bartlett's 7:30 PM showdown against Batavia. In Bloom/Marian Catholic, Hillcrest faced Hammond Central (IN) at 5:00 PM and Lincoln-Way Central took on Bloom at 6:30 PM.

there r so many hoops games this holiday monday its like every team is tryin to get in on the action lol meanwhile idk how schools manage to fit all these matches into their schedules we r talkin about weeks of classes and homework and then they just throw hoops games on top of that? 
anyway i guess thats what makes high school sports so interesting

. Orr vs. Manley at 10 AM? That's a bold move, especially considering it's a holiday Monday. Either way, I'm excited to see how these teams shake out as the season progresses.
