New Play Bridging ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and ‘Peter Pan’ to Host Industry Presentation in New York

"New Play Explores 'Alice in Wonderland' and 'Peter Pan' Universe in Unlikely Way"

A fresh take on two beloved classics is set to captivate audiences with a new musical stage play that weaves together the worlds of "Alice in Wonderland" and "Peter Pan". Titled "Alice in Neverland", this ambitious production brings the characters from both stories into a single narrative, exploring what happens next for Alice after she leaves Wonderland behind.

The story follows a grown-up Alice who feels suffocated by adulthood and embarks on a journey to recapture her childlike sense of wonder. As she delves deeper into Neverland, however, the boundaries between reality and fantasy begin to blur, threatening to consume her completely. This darkly whimsical tale promises to be a wild ride for audiences.

Industry insiders will get an exclusive first look at "Alice in Neverland" through invite-only presentations at New York's New 42 Studios on November 6-7. The production is being spearheaded by Hal Luftig, Kevin Connor, Jamie deRoy, and 42nd.club.

The show boasts a talented cast, featuring performances by Jane Bruce as Alice, Akron Watson as James, Jake Pedersen as Peter, Jackera Davis as Tinker Bell, Beth Leavel as the Queen of Hearts, and more. Choreography is handled by Dominique Kelley, while puppet design is courtesy of Nicholas Mahon. Music supervision is by Kris Kukul, with Adam Laird at the helm on music direction.

This intriguing production has already generated significant buzz among fans and industry professionals alike, promising to deliver a unique and captivating theatrical experience that will leave audiences questioning what's real and what's just a product of Wonderland's magic.

I'm literally so stoked about this new play 🤩, I've been following the rehearsals for my school's drama club and we're actually going to do a production of "Alice in Wonderland" next semester! But seeing how they're combining it with "Peter Pan" is totally mind-blowing 🤯. I can already imagine the choreography being insane 💃🏻, Dominique Kelley must be a genius for coming up with that stuff. And casting Beth Leavel as the Queen of Hearts? Iconic 😂. I need to talk to my drama teacher about getting tickets to this show ASAP, it's going to be lit 🔥.

I think it's time to grow up (like Alice) and see the world in a whole new way. We should never stop exploring our imagination, even as adults! 🌟👧🎤 "You can't stay in your corner of the forest waiting for people to come to you. You have to go to them." - Winnie-the-Pooh
