omg i feel like nikes doing this just shows they dont wanna take responsibility for their own diversity issues theyre all like yeah we have programs in place but how do we know they're not just gonna end up being a bunch of tokenistic stuff that doesnt actually make a difference and honestly id be more worried about the people who are getting caught up in this drama if they did get discriminated against... its like why shouldnt they be able to speak out without some anonymous complaint coming forward? anyway i guess its all just part of the growing tension between diversity goals and not wanting to rock the boat
This is insane... Nike can't even have a preference for who they hire without being accused of racism . It's like they're forcing themselves into a quota system, and now everyone's freaking out about it. I'm not saying diversity isn't important, but come on! Can't we just focus on being inclusive and respectful to everyone? And what's with all these government agencies trying to tell companies how to run their businesses? It's like they're taking away people's freedom of choice .
idk why nike would think they can just get away with this like come on, if you're trying to increase diversity, you gotta make sure everyone has an equal shot, not just ppl from certain groups. i mean, dont get me wrong, diversity is cool and all, but when it starts to feel like quotas, then its a problem. nike needs to step up their game and make sure their policies arent discriminatory towards anyone
