I feel like the Phillies are stuck between a rock and a hard place right now... they need to make some moves to get back on top but at what cost? Nick Castellanos is such an talented player but $100 million is just crazy 
. I can see why the Rockies would want him, he's a game-changer in their lineup. But for the Phillies, it's like, do they really want to give up all that talent and prospects just to get rid of one player? 
It's gonna be an interesting offseason, that's for sure...
But at the same time... 
$100 million is a lot of cash... 
And if they're gonna need all that help to keep their big guys, maybe letting him go isn't so bad after all...

They need some help to stay competitive in the NL East. And if they can get something decent in return from the Rockies... that's a win-win for me

castellanos is decent but not that over the hill or game changing... what are the Rockies thinking with this move? they need to be crazy to think they can handle a $100 million contract for 2 years 
. Either way, it's a risk worth taking... but you gotta wonder if it'll pay off in the long run

. I mean, the Phillies really do need a shake-up and Castellanos' contract is a huge albatross. If they can get some prospects in return that could help them re-sign their own key players like Schwarber and Realmuto, it might be worth taking the risk 
. I'd want to see some solid projections on what Castellanos can do before making such a big move

. Plus, imagine how awesome it'd be to see Castellanos crush it in Colorado and help turn around the team

I gotta say, this Nick Castellanos thing is a tough spot for the Phillies... they're trying to make room for their own guys like Kyle Schwarber and JT Realmuto, but at the same time, they can't pass up the chance to get some fresh talent. And the Rockies? They're taking on a ton of risk, I mean $100 million is no joke! 
but at the same time I can totally see how it would make sense for Philly, they need all that cap space to re-sign their own guys, and Kyle Schwarber & JT Realmuto are SO crucial to their success 
And what about all the prospects they're trading away? They gotta think about the future, fam... this move sounds like a bunch of hooey to me 
. I'm all for the Phillies making a bold move like this - who knows, maybe it's just what they need to turn things around
