FBI Investigator Reveals Pipe Bomb Suspect's Motivations
The 30-year-old man Brian Cole Jr., who was arrested on charges of placing two pipe bombs outside the Democratic and Republican National Committee offices, has expressed his disappointment in the 2020 election results.
According to Jeanine Pirro, US Attorney for the District of Columbia, Cole stated that he was disappointed with various aspects of the election. It is not clear whether Cole supports either President Donald Trump or former President Joe Biden.
Cole allegedly disposed of the distinctive Nike Air Max Turf sneakers seen in CCTV images that had been a focal point of investigators' attention.
Pirro confirmed that the video evidence, forensic analysis, and other items found at the scene support the claim that Cole is responsible for the pipe bombs. She added that based on 3 million pieces of data, it's "unmistakable" that Cole is the suspect.
Cole has allegedly expressed concern over the election results and had taken steps to get rid of the sneakers that investigators were searching for.
The FBI tweeted a photo of the suspect and posted a reward for information leading to their arrest and conviction. Pirro said she will not stop investigating this case, and they will continue to execute search warrants and gather information.
She emphasized that the public will see the facts of the case, regardless of politics. "Look at me," she said. "You will see the facts. You will see the evidence. You will see the truth as we go forward with this case."
