Rolling Stone is set to showcase the most exciting artists from across pop, hip-hop, country, and música mexicana at this year's SXSW in Austin, Texas. The three-night Future of Music event will take place over March 12-14 at ACL Live in the Moody Theater.
The first night, on March 12, will be headlined by UK pop sensation Lola Young, known for her unapologetic and catchy hits like "Messy". However, it's not just Young taking center stage - she'll be joined by a talented roster of up-and-coming artists, including Texan singer Susanna Joffe, Southampton singer Saint Harison, and East London singer-songwriter Sofia and the Antoinettes. The show promises to be an exciting showcase for these rising voices.
On March 13, Fuerza Regida will bring their unique brand of música mexicana to SXSW. Frontman Jesús Ortíz Paz, aka JOP, is a household name in Latin music, known for his high-energy live performances and influential Street Mob Records label. The show will feature not only Fuerza Regida but also other talented acts from the label, including Linea Personal, Clave Especial, and Mexican singer Chino Pacas.
For the final night on March 14, Texas takes center stage with a showcase of its own music scene. Dallas-based rapper BigXthaPlug will headline the event, drawing on his home state's rich traditions of hip-hop and country to create a unique sound. The opening acts will include some of the hottest new artists from Southern rap, such as Kaine Music, Bandman Kevo, Yung Hood, and PB, as well as a special set from INK, who has collaborated with Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar.
For fans of emerging talent, SXSW's Future of Music showcase is an absolute must-see. Past honorees have included Peso Pluma, Chappell Roan, Benson Boone, Rema, Megan Moroney, Young Miko, and many more. Tickets are now on sale via AXS, with a select number reserved for SXSW Platinum and Music Badge Holders and Festival wristband holders.
In the coming weeks, be sure to check back for additional artists being added to the lineup.
