Just saw that news about Joe Ryan 
and I gotta say, I'm kinda surprised that the Red Sox gave up on him so quickly. I mean, he's a solid pitcher with two years left on his contract... still got some upside, you know? 
But I guess Boston was thinking of going in a different direction for the offseason - acquiring some bats to complement their pitching staff. Schwarber and Alonso would be great additions! 
On the other hand, the Twins are staying put with Ryan, which is kinda cool... if they think they've got enough firepower in the lineup now, that's awesome
