Satechi is embracing Thunderbolt 5 at CES with a new dock and cable

Satechi is set to revolutionize the world of Thunderbolt docking stations with its latest product, the Thunderbolt 5 CubeDock with SSD Enclosure. Priced at $399.99, this sleek and sturdy aluminum block has a striking resemblance to Apple's Mac mini desktops.

The CubeDock boasts an impressive array of ports, including multiple Thunderbolt 5 ports, an Ethernet port, a microSD card slot, SD card slots, and a headphone jack on the front. This generous connectivity allows users to easily connect their devices to displays, external hard drives, or other peripherals.

However, what truly sets this docking station apart is its incorporation of SSD storage into the design. By popping off the bottom of the CubeDock, users can expand the internal storage capacity from a standard 2.5-inch drive to up to 8TB of ultra-fast SSD space, making it an ideal choice for professionals who need rapid access to large files.

Satechi has also launched its own Thunderbolt 5 Pro Cable, which supports lightning-fast data transfers of up to 120 Gb/s uni-directional or 80 Gb/s bi-directional. This high-speed cable is designed to keep pace with the demands of modern workstations and collaboration workflows.

The CubeDock and Thunderbolt 5 Pro Cable are set to arrive in Q1 2026, although pre-orders for the docking station have already begun at $399.99. The Thunderbolt 5 Pro Cable can be ordered now from Satechi's website, Amazon, or other retailers for a more affordable price of $39.99.

With its impressive list of features and sleek design, Satechi's Thunderbolt 5 CubeDock with SSD Enclosure is poised to become a top contender in the world of high-performance docking stations.

omg i'm SO hyped about this new docking station from satechi!!! 🤩 they literally took it up a notch by adding ssd storage and making it look like apple's mac mini - that's some next level design fam 🎨 the fact that you can expand the internal storage capacity is pure genius, I mean who doesn't need more space for their files?!? and the fact that they have their own thunderbolt 5 pro cable is a total game changer - that thing is FAST 💨 pre-orders are already open and I'm low-key tempted to get one ASAP... $39.99 for the cable tho is kinda steal 🤑

Ugh, I'm so done with these new-fangled tech updates 😩... like, what's wrong with a good ol' USB-C port? 🤷‍♂️ But seriously, 8TB of SSD storage is CRAZY! 💸 I mean, who needs that much space for just their files? 📁 I'm still using my 1TB drive from 2019 and it's been more than enough for me. 😅 Also, why do these docking stations have to be so expensive?! $399.99 for a fancy aluminum block is like, no thanks! 💸 Maybe they should just make it affordable for regular people instead of targeting all the pros out there. 🤔

I'm so stoked about this new Thunderbolt 5 CubeDock 🤩, it looks like a mini Mac mini which is literally awesome! I've been struggling with my laptop's storage space and this thing sounds like a total game-changer with its SSD enclosure 📁💻. The fact that you can expand the internal storage capacity up to 8TB is insane 🤯! And the ports, oh man... multiple Thunderbolt 5 ports, Ethernet port, SD card slots... it's got everything I need for my content creation work 🎨📸. The cable that comes with it looks pretty sweet too, can't wait to get my hands on this thing in Q1 2026 ⏰!

OMG, can't wait to get my hands on this CubeDock!!! 🤩 $399.99 might be pricey but think about all the ports it has - multiple Thunderbolt 5, Ethernet, microSD card slots... this thing is like a Swiss Army knife for your devices! 😂 And that SSD enclosure tho... I need it ASAP for all my video editing and photo processing needs! 💻 My only concern is if it's gonna be compatible with my Mac mini desktop, fingers crossed 🤞

I'm so stoked about this new product from Satechi! 🤩 The fact that they're integrating SSD storage into their docking station is literally a game-changer for professionals who need super-fast access to large files. I mean, we all know how frustrating it can be when waiting for massive files to load, but with this thing, you can expand the internal storage capacity up to 8TB and get that file transferred in no time! ⏱️ Plus, having all those ports on one block is super convenient - I'm already imagining how useful it'll be for content creators and editors who need to connect multiple devices at once. And with the Thunderbolt 5 Pro Cable coming out too, this just gets even better! 💻

OMG, 🤯 I'm so hyped about this new product from Satechi! The price of $399.99 seems a bit steep for me, but I guess if you're a pro with lots of files to store and transfer, it might be worth the investment. 🤑 But what really gets me excited is that it's got an SSD enclosure - that's so cool! 💻 Like, have you ever had to wait forever to transfer large files from one device to another? 😩 This thing would totally change that. And with the Thunderbolt 5 Pro Cable, I can only imagine how fast data transfers will be! 💥 What do you guys think about this new docking station - is it worth the price? 🤔
