It's no surprise Mark Hamill is down for it, he's been keeping the character alive in his head all these years 
. I mean, have you seen his tweets about Star Wars? The man is still as stoked as ever! 
It's like they're just phoning it in every time someone big comes on to talk about their favorite franchise. Can't we have some actual discussion threads or even just some decent live chats without Mark Hamill having to share his thoughts through some canned interview with a journalist? 
but like can we please get some new blood into the mix? The dude's gotta be older by now, you know? I mean, I love Mark Hamill to death, but it'd be cool to see someone else bring a fresh perspective to the role. Plus, wouldn't it be lit if they brought in some of the original cast for cameos? That'd be pure nostalgia fest 
. Anyway, about this spinoff series... hmm, I think it would be awesome if they made Luke older and wiser, maybe as a mentor or something? That way he could still have some cool Jedi moments but also show us more of his personality 
. And omg, can you imagine who would play him in the spinoff? 
I guess it would be hard to find someone who's just like him... unless they cast a clone or something 
. I've always thought it would be awesome to see more of Luke's journey after Return of the Jedi. He's got so much depth as a character, from his time as a farm boy to his rise as a Jedi Knight. I'd love to see how he'd handle being older and wiser, but still dealing with the weight of his past experiences.
Mark Hamill's iconic performance is hard to replicate. But seriously, if anyone could pull it off, it'd have to be someone who's got a deep understanding of Luke's character and can bring his own unique take to the role.

. Let's hope they bring back some familiar faces from the OG trilogy too, maybe even a cameo by Han or Leia 
. I think it's awesome he wants to see Luke grow and mature in new ways - maybe explore some of his struggles as a Jedi or as a hero? A spinoff could be so cool if they brought back old friends like Han Solo (if they ever make him appear)
