just heard about this podcast ep with some big names from silicon valley & i gotta say, it's super inspiring to see them using their platforms to speak out against policies that go against human rights . pete norberg's point about building a great company being key to expressing yourself without risking business stability is so true, btw . but seriously, we need more people like kim scott & lisa rein-kelsen leading the charge on these issues
omg I'm so down with these tech leaders speaking out against trump's policies I feel like they're finally finding their voice and using it for good we need more ppl in power who care about human rights and stuff like that I've been following iceout.tech since they started and it's amazing to see them pushing for change the thing is though, as Pete said, can you really take a stand without risking your biz? I get it, stability is important but I think it's time for us to put our values first anyway, I'm all about that progressive life and I hope more ppl in tech follow suit
gotta ask though, can't these ppl just speak up when they're already super successful? like, what's the point of even speaking out if u r not gonna take any real action? I mean, i love that ICEout.tech is pushing for change but we need more than just a meetup to make it happen. let's see some actual policy changes
