Six Nations 2026: Northampton wing Edoardo Todaro named in Italy squad

Italy has announced its 33-man squad for the 2026 Six Nations Championship, and in a surprise move, Northampton wing Edoardo Todaro has been named as part of the team. The 19-year-old, who is considered one of England's most exciting young talents, won his only cap to date off the bench in Italy's 34-19 win over Chile in November last year.

Todaro has had an impressive breakthrough campaign for Northampton Saints this season, scoring nine tries in just 12 games since making his first-team debut in September. He was also voted player of the month for October.

Paolo Odogwu, who was part of England's squad under Eddie Jones without winning a cap, is also included in Italy's team. The 28-year-old can play on the wing or in midfield and has six caps to his name, although all were before and during Italy's disastrous Rugby World Cup campaign last year.

Italy will face Scotland in Rome on February 7th, followed by games against Ireland, France, England, and Wales. The team is missing several key players due to injury, including Toulouse's Ange Capuozzo, fly-half Tommaso Allan, and back rows Sebastian Negri and Ross Vintcent.

New captain Michele Lamaro will lead the side for a fourth consecutive Six Nations, while flanker Samuele Locatelli and centre Damiano Mazza are among the uncapped members of the squad.

Italy's 2026 Six Nations squad is looking pretty solid with some exciting young talent like Edoardo Todaro 🀩! I mean, a 19-year-old making his debut off the bench for Italy already and now he's part of their squad? That's some next-level stuff! Northampton Saints has been on fire this season with him scoring those nine tries in just 12 games... what a break-out campaign! Paolo Odogwu being included too, he's a solid player and it'll be interesting to see how Italy uses him. New captain Michele Lamaro leading the team for the fourth year in a row... good luck to them, gotta give it up to Italy πŸ™Œ

Edoardo Todaro's call-up is a big deal! 😊 I mean, he's only 19 and already scoring tons of tries for Northampton Saints. But, you know, Italy's team is missing some key players due to injury, so it'll be interesting to see how they hold up against Scotland πŸ€”. Paolo Odogwu's also a good signing - he's got the versatility to play both wing and midfield. I reckon New Captain Michele Lamaro will do a great job leading the team... again 😊. Has anyone thought about how Italy's team is gonna recover from that Rugby World Cup last year? πŸ€• I mean, 0 wins out of 5 is not good πŸ“Š

Whoa, Edoardo Todaro is gonna be lit on that Italy squad 🀩! I mean, scoring 9 tries in just 12 games for Northampton Saints is already insane, but to make it onto Italy's team is a whole different level πŸ™Œ. And you know what's even crazier? He was only named off the bench for one game against Chile last year, now he's part of the big squad 🀯. That's some serious progression! I'm also loving that Paolo Odogwu made it back into the fold - his versatility is insane πŸ’ͺ. Can't wait to see how these guys perform in the Six Nations tournament ⚽️.

πŸ‰πŸ‘€ just saw that Italy announced their 33-man squad for 2026 Six Nations 🀝 and I'm loving the selection of Edoardo Todaro 🀩 he's got some serious skills on the wing 🎯 and scoring 9 tries in 12 games is no joke 😲 gotta root for him! πŸ‘Š but Italy's missing some key players due to injuries πŸ€• which might make things tougher for them πŸ’” still excited to see Michele Lamaro lead the side πŸ™ and Samuele Locatelli and Damiano Mazza are some exciting uncapped picks πŸŽ‰ #SixNations

Omg is rugby even still a thing lol i mean i know it's been popular back in the day but like when did the last time anyone watched it in real life? anyway so edoardo todaro seems pretty cool he scored 9 tries in 12 games? that's insane! 🀯 what's with all the injuries tho like how can u even train with everyone being sick? Michele lamaro is captain again tho yay for italian rugby i guess

Idk why Italy's picked Todaro over Odogwu lol he was already with England's squad and didn't even get a cap πŸ€” what's the logic behind this decision? Northampton has been doing alright, but Todaro's only scored 9 tries in 12 games, that's like, an average try per game πŸ“Š his stats don't scream "game-changer" to me. Italy's got some big injuries tho so I guess they're gonna rely on youth and hope for the best πŸ’ͺ. Still think Odogwu would've been a better choice though 😐

Omg I'm so hyped for Edoardo Todaro's debut in the 6Nations! He's been killing it with Northampton Saints this season 🀩πŸ”₯. Italy's got a tough road ahead, but with new cap Samuele Locatelli and centre Damiano Mazza on board, they might just pull off some upsets πŸ’ͺ🌟. Still gotta feel for Paolo Odogwu getting another chance - he's been stuck in the shadows for ages πŸ˜”. New captain Michele Lamaro looks like a solid choice to lead the team, though πŸ‘Š. Let's see how this squad holds up against the big boys 🀞

Omg u guys I'm literally so hyped about this! Edoardo Todaro is part of Italy's squad for the 2026 Six Nations Championship 🀯😍 I mean, I've been following him since he made his debut with Northampton Saints and now he's playing for Italy? Mind blown! πŸ’₯ And can we talk about Paolo Odogwu too? He was basically snubbed by England but Italy is giving him the love πŸ™ŒπŸΌ. New captain Michele Lamaro leading the team, I'm rooting for them already! 😊

Just saw Italy's 2026 Six Nations squad and I'm loving Edoardo Todaro's inclusion 🀩! The kid's got skills for days - 9 tries in just 12 games for Northampton Saints? πŸ”₯ That's some serious pace and agility on the wing. And Paolo Odogwu is a cool addition too, he's been doing well for England in the past but never quite lived up to expectations. πŸ€” Maybe this Italian stint will be his chance to shine? Italy's squad looks a bit patchy with all those injuries, but they've still got some talented youngsters like Samuele Locatelli and Damiano Mazza who could make a difference. πŸ’ͺ Can't wait for the games to start!
