Stranger Things: Tales From ‘85 hits Netflix on April 23

Netflix has finally confirmed its latest take on the beloved Stranger Things franchise: an animated series titled Stranger Things: Tales From '85. This peculiar spin-off will be hitting the streaming giant's platform on April 23, marking the first time this year.

The new trailer for the show is a bit jarring, given that the main series concluded only last month. The abrupt shift to animation and an entirely new voice cast may leave some fans feeling disoriented, but it also hints at a fresh perspective that promises to be entertaining. Even the end of the clip pokes fun at this transition with a clever joke, reminding viewers not to take things too seriously.

Tales From '85 is set in the winter period between seasons 2 and 3 of the original show. With Eleven having closed the gate to the Upside Down, the remaining malevolent entities from the other dimension continue to wreak havoc on Hawkins. The trailer keeps its story details under wraps, but a particularly intense scene involving a circular saw suggests that this new series will deliver plenty of thrills and chills.

It's clear that Netflix is committed to further exploring the Stranger Things universe, even as the main series comes to an end. With Tales From '85 set to arrive on April 23, fans can expect another thrilling chapter in the Hawkins saga – one that promises to be both nostalgic and innovative.

I'm kinda hyped for this new animation tho 🤔. I know some ppl might be like "wait what? after just a month?" but idk, it could be cool. The trailer does look intense 😱. I mean, who doesn't love a good Underworld vibes anymore? And the jokes at the end are fire 🔥. Its gonna be interesting to see how this new cast holds up but i'm all in on trying it out!

Ugh, I'm so done with this new animated Stranger Things spin-off 🙄. Who thought it was a good idea to mess with the timeline like that? Now we're gonna have to watch the gang deal with some supernatural stuff from two years ago again? And an all-new voice cast? That's just gonna throw off the whole vibe of the show for me. I mean, can't they just leave the original characters alone? The animation looks kinda cool, I guess... but overall, I'm just not stoked about this new addition to the Stranger Things universe 🤔

I'm hyped for this new animated spin-off! I think it's a great way for Netflix to keep the Stranger Things vibes going even after the main series ends 🤩. I mean, who doesn't love some fun, retro-style animation? And the fact that it's set in '85 is gonna be sick – like, I'm already imagining the rad 80s aesthetic and soundtracks 💥. Of course, I get why some fans might be feeling a little lost with the new voice cast and animation style, but honestly, I think this just means the showrunners are gonna push the boundaries even more 🎨. Can't wait to dive into Hawkins all over again on April 23!

I'm not sure if I love the idea of an animated Stranger Things spin-off 🤔👀... I mean, it's got the Stranger Things logo on it so how bad could it be 😂. On a more serious note, I do think it's interesting that they're doing something different this time around, but at the same time I'm a bit worried about alienating some of the older fans who are super invested in the original series 🤞. Plus, what if the animation isn't as good as I've seen in other shows? 🎥 But hey, a new story set in '85 sounds like it could be pretty cool! Maybe they can even get some Easter eggs or nods to the original show that would make me super happy 😄...

🤔 I'm not sure about this new animated spin-off... Like, I get it, a fresh perspective is always cool, but after the main series just ended, I kinda want more of that same vibe you know? 😐 The trailer does seem pretty fun tho! 🎉 And hey, at least it's set during a cool time period in Hawkins history. Can't wait to see what kind of thrills and chills they come up with, but also a bit sad that the main series is over 💔

omg i'm so hyped for this new animated spin off 🤩! i love how it's gonna shake things up with a fresh perspective & voice cast - gotta admit, i was a bit skeptical at first when i saw the trailer, but that last joke had me laughing 😂. and i'm curious to see where they take the story, especially since it seems like we'll be getting some intense action scenes 🤯. plus, who doesn't love the 80s vibes? 🎉 it's clear nflix is all about keeping us engaged with this new addition - bring on april 23rd! 👍

Wow 🤩 - I'm so stoked about this new animation spin-off! The fact they're going all out with a fresh voice cast is really interesting 😮. It's gonna be lit 💥 if they can pull off making it feel like part of the original show without being too confusing for fans.

I gotta say, I'm low-key excited about this new animated Stranger Things series 🤔! At first, I was like "wait, what?!" when I saw they were doing an animated show, but now I'm all in 🎉. The idea of a fresh perspective and a whole new cast is kinda refreshing, you know? And the fact that it's set during that weird winter period between seasons 2 and 3 sounds like it's gonna be pretty lit 🔥. I mean, Eleven closing the gate to the Upside Down was a major cliffhanger, so I'm stoked they're gonna explore what happens next... in this case, without the live-action constraints 🤣.

I'm low-key hyped about this new animated Stranger Things spin-off 🤯. I mean, who wouldn't want more of Hawkins in their lives? The idea of exploring the winter period between seasons 2 & 3 sounds like a great way to fill the gap until the next live-action series hits 📺. And let's be real, an animated show can be a totally different vibe than the live-action ones - might just bring some fresh energy to the table 🔥. I'm also loving that Netflix is committing to this new universe even after the main series ends... it's like they're giving us more reasons to binge-watch 💀.

I'm not sure about this new animated thingy 🤔... I mean, it's Stranger Things, right? They're basically saying goodbye with a spin-off, but then they go "Hey, wait, let's keep going!" And now we've got an animation 🎨? It feels like it's jumping around all over the place. But at the same time, I'm kinda curious... are they trying to do something new here or just milk the franchise for all it's worth? I hope it's good, but that trailer was pretty weird 😂...

omg I'm so confused about this new animated spin-off 🤯! I mean, I get it, new storylines and all but can we just stick with live-action for now? 😂 It's like they're trying to shake us out of our Stranger Things shoes 💥. And what's up with the voice cast? Are they even playing the same characters?! 🤔 I'm a bit skeptical about this one, but hey, if it's as entertaining as they say, I'll definitely give it a shot 🎥. Can't wait to see how it all comes together and whether it'll still feel like part of the original series 💭.

aww man 🤗 i know some of u are gonna be like what's going on with this new animated series though? it looks kinda jarring with the abrupt shift from live-action but at the same time its defo a fresh perspective & im super here for it 💡 i mean who doesn't love Eleven & Co. in a whole new way? 🤪 cant wait to dive into Hawkins again & see what kind of thrills & chills they have in store for us! 😁
