OMG
I'm kinda freaking out over here... like, what even is going on with our water supply?
Lithium levels in tap water linked to autism diagnoses? That's wild
. I mean, I know we've been hearing about the health benefits of lithium for a while now, but this takes it to a whole new level
. Can you imagine sipping on a glass of water and inadvertently exposing your unborn child to something that could potentially cause autism?
It's like, how do we even know what's safe anymore?
I'm all for further research, don't get me wrong
. But at the same time, I think it's crazy that our government hasn't been on top of this sooner
. Like, shouldn't they be monitoring our water supply for toxins and stuff?
It's not like we're just gonna sit around and wait for the science to catch up
.
Anyway, back to the study... I'm curious to see how they plan on replicating these findings in other countries
. And what about those potential mechanisms by which lithium exposure might contribute to ASD development?
Are they even sure that's the case yet?
