Tesla kills Autopilot, locks lane-keeping behind $99/month fee

I'm not sure if this is a good idea, lol 🤔. Tesla's decision to charge $99/month for Autopilot and Full Self-Driving features feels like it could be a major turn-off for some customers, especially if they're already paying a premium for those vehicles in the first place. I mean, who wants to pay extra just to use features that were supposed to make their driving experience safer and more convenient?

Plus, Elon Musk's comment about increasing the cost as FSD capabilities improve seems like it's trying to set customers up for disappointment đźš«. Like, what if FSD really does become super advanced in a year or two? Do they just want us to shell out even more cash for features that are supposed to be part of the car itself?

I think this shift towards subscription-based services is a trend that we'll see more of in the automotive industry, but it's not necessarily a good thing for consumers. It feels like we're being nickel-and-dimed, and it's taking away from the overall value proposition of owning a Tesla.
