Drones in surveillance are just getting creepy lol

...it's like we're already watching too much cat video on YouTube so why do we need AI-powered drones watching our streets?

I don't think it's necessary to spy on innocent people, even if they're protesting or hanging out in a public place...I mean, can't we just have a chat with them instead of deploying a flying robot with a camera?
And what about all the marginalized groups who already get targeted by law enforcement? Do we really want to add drones to the mix and make their lives even more uncomfortable?

It's like they say, "you can't trust anyone in a trench coat"

...anyway, I think we need some serious oversight on this whole drone thing before it gets out of control.
As for AI technology, I don't buy into all the hype about how advanced it is. We're still living in the stone age when it comes to facial recognition and detecting guns

...what if the AI makes a false positive? Would you really want an armed cop responding to what looks like a real threat but turns out to be just a guy with a hoodie on?
The government needs to think about how these drones will affect our civil liberties and not just push for more tech without considering the consequences...
