this is so sad... a whole community is being affected by one senseless act of violence its not just about the victim its about the people who knew him and the students he was supposed to be a part of it makes me wonder if we are doing enough to prevent these kinds of incidents from happening in the first place ... the fact that police have no motive or identity yet is really frustrating
man, it's crazy thinkin' about a 20-something grad student gettin' gunned down in broad daylight... like, what even is the point of all this senseless violence? and yeah, the fact that authorities are still stumped is just devastating... but at the same time, can we talk about how gun safety is basically non-existent out here? it's like, we're supposed to be livin' in a world where we don't have to worry about gettin' shot for no reason, and yet that's not the case. and the fact that mental health is gettin' brought up in this conversation... I mean, I'm all for talkin' about it, but can we take it a step further? like, how are we supposed to fix our laws and policies if we don't even acknowledge the root causes of all this violence?
can we really say its senseless when its a guy literally lives 2 feet away from someone who just tried to kill them? road rage is just a euphemism for people being reckless with their lives i'm not buying the "we need to look into gun laws" thing tho, this guy probably had a permit and didnt do anything wrong. its time we talk about the real issues here...
I'm still trying to process what happened to that poor kid... it's just so senseless I keep thinking about how quickly a situation can escalate from a minor car accident to a violent outburst. Have we become too desensitized to the reality of gun violence? It's crazy that we're still debating whether or not this was an act of road rage or something more sinister... shouldn't we be focusing on finding those responsible and preventing it from happening again? And what about our laws around mental health - are they doing enough to prevent tragedies like this from occurring?
omg this is so sad the thought of someone being gunned down in broad daylight is just too much to handle. i'm with everyone who's saying we need to do something about gun safety and mental health laws, it's not like this has never happened before but it feels like now that it has happened at yale, it's a wake up call for the whole country .
I'm seriously not sure if I should be laughing at the fact that someone got killed in a road rage incident or just crying over here . Like, what's next? A fight over who gets the last slice of pizza?
But for real though, gun violence is no joke and it's crazy to think about how quickly our lives can be taken away. I mean, one minute you're walking down the street, the next you're a victim of senseless violence...
The thing that really gets me is how hard it is for authorities to piece together what happened in this case. Like, where was the suspect? Did they see anything suspicious? These are questions that need answers ASAP!
And can we please talk about gun safety and mental health for a second? It's like, we know all these things, but sometimes it takes a tragedy like this to make us take notice. Let's do better, folks! We need to look out for each other and make sure our communities are safe for everyone!
