The twin probes just launched toward Mars have an Easter egg on board

NASA's twin spacecraft, Blue and Gold, have embarked on a 22-month journey to Mars, carrying with them an Easter egg of sorts - the first kiwi birds to fly to the red planet. The ESCAPADE mission aims to study how space weather affects Mars' hybrid magnetosphere and its impact on the planet's climate history.

Launched aboard Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket, the twin probes will enter Martian orbit in September 2027, separated by two days. Once there, they will conduct a series of scientific campaigns, flying in formation and then separately to observe the effects of space weather on Mars' near-space environment.

The spacecraft are adorned with kiwi birds, which are native to New Zealand, reflecting Rocket Lab's heritage. The company has a tradition of hiding the birds on its designs, dating back to its inception. The twin probes also feature plaques listing the names of the team members who contributed to the mission, making it possible for them to reach Mars.

The ESCAPADE mission is expected to provide valuable insights into Mars' climate history and the causes behind the loss of its dense atmosphere. By studying how space weather affects the planet's hybrid magnetosphere, scientists hope to better understand the complex interactions between the solar wind and Mars' atmosphere.

I'm stoked about this new mission πŸš€! I mean, can you imagine a kiwi bird flying on a spacecraft to Mars? It's like something out of a sci-fi movie πŸŽ₯. But seriously, this is some crazy cool stuff. I've always been fascinated by space and the potential for life beyond Earth... although in this case it's just birds πŸ˜‚.

I think what's really interesting about this mission is the idea that these twin spacecraft are basically like two tiny explorers traveling to Mars, each with their own mission. It's almost like a mini space soap opera πŸ“Ί! And I love that they're hiding little Easter eggs like kiwi birds on the design - it just adds to the excitement.

I'm not exactly sure how much we'll learn from this mission, but I'm all about discovering new stuff and expanding our understanding of the universe 🌠. Who knows what secrets Mars has been keeping? Maybe these spacecraft will uncover some clues... or at least give us a great view of the Red Planet πŸ“Έ

omg can u beleev NASA sent a couple kiwi birds 2 mars lol they r on these twin spacecraft blue & gold that are headed 2 mars in sept 2027 its gonna b so cool 2 study how space weather affects martys magnetosphere & climate history πŸš€πŸ§ the ppl behind ESCAPADE mission hope 2 find out wut happnd 2 martys atmosphe & why it got all thin & stuff πŸ€”

Man, this is so cool! I mean, who wouldn't want kiwi birds on Mars? It's like, a little slice of New Zealand in the red planet πŸ₯🌌. And can you believe they're even hiding plaques with the team members' names? That's just... wow. I'm getting all nostalgic for old-school space missions and stuff. Remember when we used to watch those grainy VHS tapes of Apollo 11 landing on Earth? πŸ˜‚ Those were the days, my friend.

But seriously, this ESCAPADE mission is gonna be huge! Learning more about Mars' climate history and how it lost its atmosphere... that's like, fundamental stuff for us humans πŸ€”. I just hope they find out if kiwi birds can even survive on Mars without getting all stressed out from the lack of sunlight β˜€οΈ. Either way, this is gonna be a wild ride!

idk why they gotta send kiwi birds to mars πŸ€πŸš€, like whats next sending a team of penguins to the moon? πŸŒ• seriously tho, this mission sounds cool! i mean, its not every day we get to see us tryin to understand how space weather affects some other planet's atmosphere. and think about all the sick info they'll gather, it could potentially change our understanding of mars' climate history & how it went from bein thick with an atm to bein a total dust bowl πŸŒ€πŸŒͺ️

omg did u know nasa just launched these twin spacecraft called blue & gold πŸš€πŸŒŸ they're on a 22 month journey to mars and they have kiwi birds on them lol it's like they're taking these little birdies on an intergalactic adventure πŸ€πŸ›°οΈ i think it's so cool that nasa is studying how space weather affects mars' climate history and atmosphere... maybe we can learn some new things about our own planet too πŸŒŽπŸ’‘

OMG, can you even imagine seeing kiwi birds flying around on Mars?! 🀯 It's like something out of a sci-fi movie! I'm loving the idea behind the ESCAPADE mission, it's like they're sending little messages from space about the team that made it happen πŸ“£. And I gotta give props to Rocket Lab for keeping the kiwi tradition going - those little birds are so adorable on this thing! 😊 The fact that they've got plaques with the team members' names on them is just amazing, like a cosmic memorial to their hard work and dedication πŸ’«. It's all about understanding Mars' climate history now, I'm hyped for the discoveries that'll come out of this mission πŸš€

I'm not sure why NASA went with kiwi birds for this mission... πŸ€” I mean, it's cool and all that, but isn't it just a bit of brand marketing? Can't they see how this is basically a PR stunt to make Rocket Lab look good? And what about the science behind it all? I bet some people are gonna say that studying kiwi birds in space is just a waste of resources... πŸ€‘

man, can you believe those kiwi birds are actually going to mars πŸ§πŸš€? it's so cool that rocket lab is getting to send some of their own heritage with them. i think this mission is gonna be super informative about what happened to mars' atmosphere in the past... like, why did it get all thin and stuff? πŸ˜• space weather must play a huge role in that. can't wait for those sci vids coming out next sept πŸ‘€

Mars exploration is getting more interesting πŸš€... I mean, who doesn't want to see kiwi birds in space? πŸ˜‚ But seriously, this ESCAPADE mission could be a game-changer for our understanding of Mars' climate history. The fact that they're studying the effects of space weather on the planet's hybrid magnetosphere is pretty cool πŸ’‘. It's like we're finally getting closer to solving the mystery of what happened to Mars' atmosphere all those years ago πŸ€”. The thought of having these tiny kiwi birds flying around in space is kind of awesome, but at the same time, it's also a reminder that we still have so much to learn about our own planet and its place in the universe 🌎...

Mars kiwi birds? That's actually kinda cool πŸ€πŸš€ I mean, who wouldn't want to see a bird that's literally from New Zealand on another planet? It's like they're sending us little messages from the future or something πŸ“. But for real though, this ESCAPADE mission is gonna be a huge deal for scientists trying to figure out how Mars lost its atmosphere. I'm low-key hyped to see what kind of sick space weather they'll discover up there πŸ’₯πŸ”.

Omg a kiwi on Mars? πŸ§πŸ˜‚ like, who wouldn't want some feathered friends on the red planet? it's actually kinda cool that Rocket Lab is bringing a piece of NZ heritage to space - but also kinda cheesy how they're hiding the birds everywhere 🀣. anyhoo, can't wait for these twin spacecraft to get their space weather on and give us some juicy insights into Mars' climate history! πŸ‘½πŸ’«

πŸš€πŸŒŸ I mean, who wouldn't wanna send kiwi birds to Mars? It's like, totally awesome! πŸ€“ I've always been fascinated by space stuff, but this is just so cool. I love how they included it as an Easter egg – it's like a little surprise from the team at Rocket Lab. And can you even imagine what those tiny birds would look like flying around in Martian orbit? 🐦🚫 It's like something out of a sci-fi movie! The fact that these twin probes are gonna study space weather and its impact on Mars' climate history is just mind-blowing too. We're basically learning more about the universe, one kiwi bird at a time... πŸ˜„

Ugh, another rocket launch πŸš€πŸ”₯ and who cares about some kiwi birds on a spaceship? I mean, I guess it's kinda cool that Rocket Lab is getting some love with their little bird design thingy 😊. But seriously, why do we need to put plaques with team member names on space probes? It's just gonna get lost in space or something 🀯. And what's up with the naming of these twin spacecraft, Blue and Gold? Sounds like a bad corporate branding decision πŸ’Ό. I wish they'd focus more on the actual science behind this mission instead of all the extraneous stuff πŸ“š.

omg what a cool idea πŸš€πŸ§ NASA is literally sending kiwi birds to mars I mean who wouldn't want to fly around the red planet right? 🌌 it's so awesome that they're studying how space weather affects mars climate history like, we can learn so much from this mission πŸ’‘ also, I'm loving the tradition of hiding the kiwi birds on rocket designs 😊 Rocket Lab is giving me all the feels with this one!

omg, can you believe there are kiwi birds on a spacecraft headed to Mars πŸ§πŸš€? I mean, it's cool that Rocket Lab is including them as a nod to New Zealand, but what's up with having two identical twin probes? They're basically just going to fly in formation and then separately... will they be like, taking selfies or something? πŸ€” anyway, Mars climate history stuff sounds super interesting, I hope we get some awesome insights from this ESCAPADE mission! πŸ’«

omg can u believe they're sending kiwi birds to mars πŸ₯πŸ˜‚ lol rocket lab must be so proud of this tradition they started with those little birds πŸŽ‰ anyway seriously though this mission is gonna be huge for us learning more about mars climate history and stuff πŸ‘ i hope the team gets to see some sweet pics from space too πŸ“ΈπŸ’«

OMG, πŸš€ I'm super stoked about this mission!!! The idea of having kiwi birds on a Martian spacecraft is so cool! πŸ€πŸ‘½ It's like sending little New Zealand ambassadors to explore the red planet πŸ˜„. But what I think is really interesting is how it's going to help us understand Mars' climate history and the effects of space weather on its atmosphere πŸ”. The fact that we can learn from this mission and maybe even figure out why Mars lost its dense atmosphere is, like, totally mind-blowing πŸ’₯. I hope they get some awesome pics of those Martian sunsets πŸŒ… too!

πŸš€πŸŒŸ Omg, kiwi birds on Mars? Like, who would've thought right? 🀣 This mission sounds so cool! I'm kinda hyped for them to get to Mars and start studying stuff. The fact that they're carrying little Easter eggs like those kiwi birds is such a nice touch - it's like Rocket Lab is spreading some New Zealand love out there in space πŸŒΏπŸš€. But, like, what if those little birdies don't survive the space trip? Would be a bummer, lol! Anyway, can't wait to see what they discover about Mars' climate history and stuff...
