I'm not sure I buy this whole "adolescence is a painful and formative experience" thing. I mean, how many times have we been told that? It sounds like just another buzzword for the industry to cash in on. Where are the actual statistics or studies to back this up?
And what's with all this fuss about virgins being "prone to panic"? Is that really a new phenomenon or just a label created to make a story more interesting? I'd love to see some data on how common anxiety is among teenagers, especially in relation to sex.
The music choices seem a bit on the nose too โ dramatic orchestral scores are usually reserved for the most emotionally charged scenes. It sounds like they're trying too hard to create tension where it might not be there.
