Tottenham 1-2 Fulham: Guglielmo Vicario booed by home supporters after howler in shambolic first half as Spurs lose to Cottagers

Spurs' poor start to the game was capped off by a calamitous mistake from goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, who was promptly subjected to a barrage of boos from his own fans. The Italian's error gifted possession to Harry Wilson, allowing the Fulham midfielder to score a stunning strike into the unguarded net.

The earliest Spurs had conceded two goals in the Premier League history made Vicario's team-mates turn on him, with some players even walking off the field to face their furious fans. Thomas Frank was left "angrily" by this reaction, stating that Spurs fans can't be true supporters if they're booing their team-mates during a game.

Vicario's poor form wasn't an isolated incident, however. The entire Tottenham side looked out of sorts, with Fulham cutting them apart at will in the first half. The visitors' attacking display was truly woeful, with Spurs creating just 0.07xG across the break and not a single shot on target.

Despite showing signs of improvement in the second half, it wasn't enough to salvage the game for Tottenham. Even their lifeline goal, which required a rocket strike from Mohammed Kudus, couldn't change the course of the match.

The loss marks Spurs' 10th home defeat of 2025 and their joint-most home league defeats in a single calendar year (also 1994 and 2003). The team has picked up just 14 points on home soil across the last 12 months, with Fulham's win leaving them two clear of the second-lowest total, West Ham.

Spurs' struggles at home have become a recurring theme under Thomas Frank's management. The team has lost four consecutive home London derbies for the first time in the Premier League (twice vs Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Fulham).

Former Tottenham defender Michael Dawson stated that Spurs need to be realistic about their ambitions, given their current form. "I didn't expect them to finish in the top four this season," he said. "Top six was a more realistic aim with Frank going in."

Fulham's boss Marco Silva praised his team for being clinical and controlled during the first half, which ultimately led to their 2-0 win.

omg what is goin on at spurs?? ๐Ÿ˜ฑ they just got schooled by fulham like a million times! guglielmo vicario needs to get his head back in the game lol i mean cant be easy for him but booing him is way outta line even if he did make that mistake. i feel bad for him ๐Ÿค•

anywayz the whole team just looked lost and confused out there in the first half fulham was just dominatin em on both ends of the pitch ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ‘Š how can u not even create a shot or somethin?? ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

ive been sayin its all over for spurs this season ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ didnt think they could finish top 4 with their current form michael dawson is spot on tho realistic ambitions would be great to see them improve but i guess we gotta be patient ๐Ÿ™

ugh what is goin on w/ spurs?? ๐Ÿคฏ theyre literally playin like a bunch of zombies out there ๐Ÿง  their goalie vicario made this huge mistake & the whole team just kinda fell apart ๐Ÿ’” esp with the fans turnin on him ๐Ÿšซ its def not a good look for them... and now they're sayin spurs fans can't be real supporters if dey boo deir own players during a game ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ like what's da diff?? its still de same team out dere ๐ŸŸ๏ธ anyway, fulham played em tough & deserved de win ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿค” Spurs are having a major meltdown at home and it's not just about Vicario's mistake ๐Ÿšซ. The whole team looks lost and they need to figure out what's going on ๐Ÿ”. Dawson makes some valid points, they should be realistic about their ambitions ๐Ÿ’ก. It's getting to the point where they're more worried about losing than winning ๐Ÿ†. And honestly, it's hard to see them making a comeback from this sort of form ๐Ÿ˜“.

๐Ÿ˜‚ oh man, Guglielmo Vicario needs a new job, or at least a new agent ๐Ÿคฃ can't even make it through a game without getting roasted by his own fans. Thomas Frank is like "yo, guys, we got booed by our own team's fans during a game"... that's not how you win friends and influence people ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™‚๏ธ. And Fulham just ate Spurs for breakfast, must've been a real " Ful-astrophe" ๐Ÿคฃ. The stats are crazy, Spurs created 0.07xG across the break... basically just a bunch of guys standing around looking pretty ๐Ÿ™„

I'm telling you, Spurs are cursed or something ๐Ÿคฏ. One minute they're crushing it, next they're getting annihilated by a mediocre team like Fulham ๐Ÿ˜‚. I mean, what's going on with Guglielmo Vicario? He makes one mistake and suddenly he's the villain of the game ๐Ÿ™„. But at the same time, I feel bad for him, poor guy can't catch a break.

And don't even get me started on Thomas Frank's tactics ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™‚๏ธ. Either he's doing it right or completely wrong. I'm like, what's his strategy here? It's all over the place ๐Ÿคฏ. And those fans booing their own team-mates during the game? What kind of toxic environment is that? ๐Ÿ˜•

I do agree with Michael Dawson though, Spurs need to be realistic about their ambitions ๐Ÿ”ฎ. Top six is a more achievable goal, not trying to force it into the top four ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. But at the same time, I think they're going to surprise us all and pull off some amazing victories ๐Ÿ’ช... until then, I'll just stick with my prediction that they'll get sacked soon ๐Ÿ˜ณ.

๐Ÿคฏ what's wrong with Spurs fans?! booing their own goalkeeper? that's not football, that's fan-tastrophe ๐Ÿ˜ฑ! Vicario had a bad game, yeah but he's just one player, you can't take it out on him like that. and the whole team's performance was shambolic ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ they get destroyed by Fulham at home and then turn on their own mate? no way, Jose ๐Ÿ˜ก. and now they're talking about being realistic about their ambitions? yeah, they need to be real, they're not even close to top six ๐Ÿ’”!

omg what's happenin with spurs rn ๐Ÿคฏ they're gettin roasted by fulham and it's not even close ๐Ÿ”ฅ i mean vicario's howler was a major mistake but you gotta feel for the guy, he got torched by his own fans ๐Ÿ˜ฉ meanwhile frank's gotta address this mental breakdown in the locker room cuz players walkin off mid game is just wild ๐Ÿคฏ michael dawson hit the nail on the head tho, spurs need to set realistic expectations 4 now or else they'll be stuck in mediocrity ๐Ÿ”ด๐Ÿ‘Ž fulham deserved that win tho, silva's givin them clinical lessons all season ๐Ÿ‘

omg can u believe spurs just got thrashed by fulham at home ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ guglielmo vicario is literally a nightmare between the posts right now ๐Ÿ˜ฑ his mistake was soooo bad and the fact that his own fans are booing him is just sad ๐Ÿค• i feel bad for the guy, but gotta say spurs deserved that beating they looked so off in the first half ๐Ÿ’” fulham's defense was like brick wall and their attack was on fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ it's not like spurs created anything of value, just a 0.07xG across the break ๐Ÿคฏ

anyway, fulham's win leaves them 2 clear of west ham in 2nd place ๐Ÿ† and they're definitely in the mix for europa league spots ๐Ÿ‘ but for spurs, it's all about being realistic now ๐Ÿค” michael dawson said it best, top six was a more realistic aim under frank ๐Ÿ™ gotta say, i'm loving fulham's confidence right now ๐Ÿ’ช

๐Ÿค” I mean, Spurs got smashed at home, but let's not be too hard on them, right? ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ They're still playing in one of the toughest leagues in the world! ๐Ÿ˜… And that Guglielmo Vicario dude made some mistakes, but you can't blame him for everything. He's a human being, after all! ๐Ÿค— His teammates should be supporting him, not booing them off the pitch! ๐Ÿ™„ Still, 2-0 down at halftime is a pretty big wake-up call for Spurs... maybe they needed that? ๐Ÿค” Could be an opportunity for Thomas Frank and Co. to regroup, reorganize, and come back stronger in their next match... ๐Ÿ’ช

man what a disaster ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ‘Ž esp esp spurs' poor form isnt just vicario's fault he got roasted by his own fans lol like whats up with that ๐Ÿค”, spurs should b more concerned about their team selection & tactics than blaming the fans ๐Ÿ‘€, and btw 0.07xG across the whole game is super laughable ๐Ÿ™„ fulham cut them apart at will in the first half & Spurs still managed to lose ๐Ÿ˜‚

omg spurs are having such a bad season rn ๐Ÿ˜ฉ they cant even beat fulham at home what happened to that team? ๐Ÿค” guglielmo vicario is just not cut out for this league imo he needs to step up his game or get replaced ASAP ๐Ÿ‘Ž and thomas frank needs to figure out how to turn it around ASAP too, its getting frustrating to watch

man Spurs are having such a rough patch at home its like they're struggling to score against their own family ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ฉ guglielmo vicario made some huge mistakes tho and those fans can't be happy with him booing their own teammate thats crazy #NotMySpurs #VicarioFail #TottenhamStruggles

๐Ÿ˜ I don't get why Spurs fans were so mad at Vicario after that one mistake... like, it was just a bad kick ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. They should be supporting him instead of booing him ๐Ÿ˜”. And honestly, it's not just Vicario who was out of form, the whole team was struggling โšฝ๏ธ. I mean, Fulham played really well and deserved that win ๐Ÿ’ช. Thomas Frank says Spurs fans can't support their team if they're booing them during a game... like, what's the point of being a fan if you're just gonna be angry all the time? ๐Ÿ˜’.

omg did u see that ๐Ÿคฏ guglielmo vicario is gettin roasted by his own fans ๐Ÿ˜‚ after dat howler in the shambolic first half i mean, the guy's already struggling as a keeper and now spurs fans are turnin on him?? it's like they're more invested in booing their own teammates than actually supportin the team ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

i think it's a reflection of how underperformin the whole squad is, tho. fulham just cut them apart in the first half and spurs fans r right to be upset ๐Ÿ™„ i mean, who gets two goals conceded in the first half? ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

anywayz, the loss marks 10th home defeat for spurs this year ๐Ÿ“‰ and they're strugglin to pick up points at home ๐Ÿ  it's like frank needs to sit down with the squad and figure out what's goin on ๐Ÿ’ก

It looks like Spurs are really struggling at home right now ๐Ÿค”. I mean, you can't blame the fans for getting frustrated when the team is playing so poorly, but booing the goalkeeper isn't exactly the right approach either ๐Ÿ˜’. It's just a sign of how desperate they are to see some improvement.

I think Thomas Frank needs to take a closer look at his tactics and player selection. Spurs have been really out of form lately, and it's not like they're giving up without a fight ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. They managed to show signs of life in the second half, but it wasn't enough.

The stats are pretty bleak for Spurs right now - 14 points in 12 home games? That's just heartbreaking ๐Ÿค•. And with Fulham pulling clear at the top of the table, you can't help but wonder if Spurs will even make the top six this season ๐Ÿ˜ณ.

can we talk about spurs fans for a sec? ๐Ÿค” i mean, booing ur own goalkeeper who just made one mistake is lowkey savage. like what did he do wrong besides one error? ๐Ÿ˜ฉ and the fact that his teammates walked off the field to face the angry fans? that's just not cool fam. ๐Ÿ’”

anywayz, it seems like spurs are having a rough season atm and their fans are getting frustrated too ๐Ÿค• but booing ur own players is not the answer ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ. maybe they should focus on supporting them instead of tearing each other apart ๐Ÿ‘Š

I'm so tired of Spurs fans blaming Guglielmo Vicario for every mistake he makes ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. I mean, come on guys, booing him in his own home stadium? That's just classless ๐Ÿ˜’. Thomas Frank's right to say that if you can't support your team-mates, then you're not a true fan.

And honestly, Vicario's form has been pretty inconsistent all season, but it's not like he's the only one who's had a bad game ๐Ÿค”. Spurs' midfield was totally off-key in that first half, and Fulham took them apart ๐Ÿ‘€. I don't think Vicario should be roasted for one mistake, especially when his team-mates were running around like headless chickens ๐Ÿ’ฅ.

And what's with all the whining about Spurs not being a top-four team? They've got some talented players, and they're still in contention for Europe ๐Ÿค. Let's not write them off just yet โš ๏ธ.

I'm totally on Vicario's side here ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ. I mean, what's wrong with fans booing a keeper who just made a huge mistake? It's not like they're getting paid enough to expect perfection! ๐Ÿ˜‚ But at the same time... I don't know man, maybe Spurs fans were just having a bad day or something? ๐Ÿค”

And have you seen Vicario's form lately? Yeah, it's been pretty shaky. Maybe the booing wasn't entirely undeserved? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ Still, it was super harsh to walk off the field like that. I mean, what's Thomas Frank going to do about it now? ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

I don't think Fulham played that great in the second half either... just my two cents ๐Ÿค‘

Vicario's got some 'splainin' to do ๐Ÿ‘€. Can't just have a meltdown on the pitch and expect your teammates to save you ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ. The whole Spurs team was off today, looked like they were sleepwalking on the pitch ๐Ÿ˜ด. And that reaction from their own fans? Unacceptable โš ๏ธ. If I'm a Tottenham fan, I'd be embarrassed by my players' display too ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. Gotta bring it together as a unit if you wanna compete in this league ๐Ÿ’ช.
