omg what's up with vimeo tho?? i mean i get it they're tryna cut costs but $1.38 billion is insane!! like they must be expecting a huge return or something and whats with all the history of downsizing? like vimeo already got rid of 10% of its workforce just last week?! what's going on in there?! they gotta come clean about how many people are getting axed... this is super stressful for employees
Ugh, just great . Another big company laying off people because they're making a ton of cash from the sale... it's like they don't even care about their own employees anymore . I mean, $1.38 billion is a lot of money, but can't Vimeo just use some of that to pay its staff instead of cutting corners? It's not like the content creators are gonna be all like "oh well, we'll just go elsewhere" because they're losing their jobs . This is just another example of how corporations don't care about people outside of their own profit margins... sad .
ugh this is so sad i used to upload all my vlogs on Vimeo like 5 years ago when it was still pretty chill they must've had some issues with the new ownership lol who knows what the future holds for the site? i do hope the content creators can find a new home tho, especially those comedians who have their shows there. it's not fair to them
just heard about this news and i gotta say... $1.38 billion is a lot of dosh for a bunch of job losses its like bing spoons bought vimeo to cut costs, not invest in the platform now what about all those creators who rely on the platform to share their work? will they lose access to it too?
This is some super bad news for vimeo employees I feel so bad for them right now . It's already been a tough year for many creators and content makers due to the ever-changing online landscape , and this just adds another layer of uncertainty . Losing nearly all staff, including the whole video team? That's just devastating . Can't wait to see what Bending Spoons is going to do with Vimeo next ... maybe they can turn it around? But for now, sending all my love and support to those who've been affected by these layoff cuts
