Philly's Rittenhouse neighborhood is about to get a festive dose of holiday cheer with the transformation of Walnut Garden into a dazzling 'Walnut Wonderland'. The outdoor escape, set to open on November 12th, promises an immersive winter wonderland experience complete with twinkling lights, towering trees, and merry merriment.
As guests arrive, they'll be greeted by an eight-tree display at the entrance, accompanied by glowing neon sculptures and vibrant decorations featuring candy canes, penguins, and ornaments. The pièce de résistance is a 22-foot illuminated tree that visitors can wander through, set amidst a heated tent for added warmth on chilly evenings.
To fuel the festive fun, Walnut Wonderland offers an assortment of seasonal treats, including maple whiskey sours, spiced sangria, rum toddies, hot cocoa with amaretto and Irish cream, and even tabletop s'mores for dessert. The garden is family-friendly, welcoming furry friends along with their owners. Throughout the season, special events will take place, such as a Lunch with Santa on December 7th and a 'Nearly New Year's' Countdown on December 31st from 5 to 7 p.m.
Walnut Wonderland will be open seven days a week, with extended hours on weekends and late nights on Fridays and Saturdays. Admission is free, while food and drinks are priced pay-as-you-go.

️!! i mean who doesn't love a good winter wonderland setup? the fact that it's free admission just makes it even better lol. i'm def going to grab my squad and hit up walnut wonderland on opening day, gotta see the 22ft illuminated tree for myself! and can we talk about how adorable all the decorations sound? candy canes and penguins? 
that's basically a kid's dream come true. and i love that they're family-friendly with furry friends allowed too. it's the perfect spot to make some holiday memories without breaking the bank

The food menu sounds pretty solid too, especially that s'mores table... I mean, who doesn't love a good s'more?!

it's just another excuse for people to overspend on overpriced hot cocoa and s'mores. I mean, who needs an 8-tree display or a 22-foot illuminated tree when you can just stick some lights up in your backyard like everyone else? And what's with the "Lunch with Santa" event? It's just a way for parents to shell out even more cash on overpriced food and photoshoots. The whole thing just seems like a bunch of hype to me
