White House launches website to excoriate media for 'biased' stories

🤔 come on guys who's next? news outlets just doing their job holding ppl in power accountable shouldn't be labeled "media offenders of the week" lol this is some crazy stuff. think about all the times journalists have been called out for being "too liberal" or "too partisan" now they're getting a platform to call out those that are supposed to be unbiased? sounds like someone's trying to silence the voices we need most 📰💔

OMG 🤯 I just checked out the White House site and I'm freaking out 😱! They've got a whole list of major news outlets labeled as "media offenders" 📰👎 And I'm not even surprised, considering Trump's history with the press 🙄. But what really gets me is how they're using this to silence dissenting voices 🗣️. Like, if you can't handle the truth, don't report it 🤷‍♀️.

Stats-wise, did you know that since 2017, there have been over 70 lawsuits filed against major news outlets by President Trump? 📊 That's like, a whole lotta drama 😂. And on Twitter alone, Trump has tweeted out over 4,000 times about the media, which is just...wow 🤯.

But for real though, this new website is a huge red flag ⚠️. It's basically an attempt to manipulate public opinion and control the narrative 📺. The latest numbers on media trust are pretty bleak: according to Gallup in 2022, only 30% of Americans trusted the mass media. And if we keep going down this path, that number will likely take a drastic drop 📉.

I'm all for holding the media accountable, but not when it comes at the cost of free speech and a functioning democracy 🤝. We need to be vigilant and protect our press from these kinds of attacks 📰💪

idk man 🤔, i think this is a major mistake by trump... like, his whole 'fake news' thing was always just a cop-out, but at least he had the decency to pretend it wasn't personal 😒, now he's trying to openly attack specific outlets? that's just gonna make him look even more out of touch and authoritarian 💁‍♂️

and honestly, can we talk about how this whole 'taking down biased media' thing is a total misnomer? like, what even does that mean? who gets to decide who's 'biased'? and what if the 'bias' is towards keeping people informed about the truth? 🤷‍♂️

i also don't get why they're targeting specific outlets over general claims of bias... doesn't trump just want to silence dissenting voices, regardless of where they come from? it's like he's trying to control the narrative and stifle free speech, which is literally the opposite of what 'free' press should be about 🗣️

anyway, i'm not surprised by this move, tbh... it just seems like another example of trump's desperation to cling to power and discredit anyone who gets in his way 💔
