Ars Technica's annual Charity Drive is here, and it's time to give back while also snagging some sweet hardware and collectibles. The drive supports two great causes: Penny Arcade's Child's Play charity and the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), which defends internet freedom.
This year's swag pile is impressive, with over a dozen prizes valued at nearly $5,000, including gaming hardware like the ROG Flow Z13 gaming tablet/laptop, as well as collectibles like an Indiana Jones Collector's Edition for PC. The list of prizes is extensive and includes some unique items, such as Analogue 3D retro gaming hardware and open-sourced routers.
To participate, simply donate to Child's Play or the EFF using a credit card or PayPal, or by picking an item from their Amazon wish lists. You can also support them directly through Ars Technica's campaign page. Once you've donated, register your entry in the sweepstakes by sending a digital copy of your receipt to [email protected] with your name, address, and contact information.
The winners will be notified and given the chance to choose their prize by January 31st. The prizes are subject to change, but here's what we know so far:
* ROG Flow Z13 gaming tablet/laptop
* Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold + case
* Indiana Jones Collector's Edition for PC
* Analogue 3D retro gaming hardware
* Analogue Duo retro gaming hardware
Don't miss out on this opportunity to give back and win some amazing gear. Donate now, enter the sweepstakes, and help Ars Technica support a good cause.
The total value of prizes is estimated at over $5,000. Last year's drive raised nearly $40,000 for charity, contributing to a total haul of more than $542,000 since 2007. This year, we're aiming higher and hope that our readers will dig deep to support these great causes.
Donating is easy, and every bit counts. Enter the sweepstakes, share the news with your friends, and let's make this Charity Drive one for the books!
