Woman found alive, moving in coffin after she was taken to Buddhist temple for cremation

A Thai woman was found alive inside her coffin at a Buddhist temple, narrowly avoiding organ donation and cremation. The 65-year-old woman, who had been bedridden for two years, appeared to have stopped breathing two days prior to her supposed death. Her brother drove her 300 miles from her home in Phitsanulok to the temple, where she was scheduled to be cremated.

However, the brother's attempts to deliver his sister's body were thwarted when he discovered she was still alive, as indicated by faint knocking sounds coming from inside the coffin. The temple staff initially mistook the sounds for some other explanation but ultimately realized the woman was indeed conscious and in need of medical attention.

Temple officials have since taken steps to ensure her safety, including agreeing to cover her medical expenses. Similar instances of people being found alive at funeral homes or morgues are not uncommon. In recent years, there have been cases involving individuals being declared dead only to awaken later, often with serious health complications.

The incident has raised questions about the lack of documentation surrounding the woman's supposed death and the possibility that her brother may have inadvertently prevented an organ donation. The temple's actions in this case serve as a reminder of the importance of verifying the status of deceased individuals before proceeding with any further procedures.

omg what a crazy situation 😱👻 i mean i've heard of people being declared dead only to come back and live, but this is like something out of a horror movie 🎃️. the fact that her brother thought she was already gone and brought her to the temple for cremation is just mind-blowing 🤯. i'm glad everything turned out okay in the end, but what if they hadn't found her alive? would she have been saved or could she've suffered even more harm from being left undetected for two years? it's a good thing the temple staff stepped in and took care of her. this whole incident has got me thinking about how we can improve the process of verifying people's deaths to avoid these kinds of situations 🤔💡

😱 what kind of funeral home staff just assumes someone's dead without checking? Like, basic common sense would say "let's check for a heartbeat" 🤔. Thankfully she's alive and I hope she gets the help she needs. It's crazy that this happened in the first place...organ donation is a huge deal and I'm sure her brother didn't mean to ruin it for others. The temple did the right thing though, covering her medical expenses is a nice gesture 🤝. This story definitely made me think twice about who gets to decide when someone's "dead" 💀

🙏 I'm so relieved to hear about this Thai woman who was found alive inside her coffin! It's crazy to think that she must've been feeling really hopeless and helpless, stuck in that bed for 2 years 🤯. And can you even imagine being wrapped up like a present and prepared for cremation? 😱 Thankfully the temple staff are doing their best to help her recover.

I do think it's a bit concerning that there wasn't more documentation about her supposed death, though... what if she'd been in a coma for months or something? 🤔 And poor guy who drove his sister to the temple, he must've had no idea it was going to happen like this 😅. Anyways, I'm just glad she's safe and sound now! 💖

omg I cant even lol what if she was just sleeping?? so glad she's safe tho i feel bad for her fam who had to go through all that stress & anxiety rn but like seriously temple staff gotta do their due diligence & verify the dead ppl status before doing anything 🤯🙏 300 miles is a looong way to drive just to find out your sis wasnt ready to meet her maker 😂💀
