World Cup 2026 fixtures: England to kick off under roof in Dallas during UK primetime

England are set to kick off their 2026 World Cup campaign under a retractable roof in Dallas, Texas, on June 17th, when they face Croatia at 9pm UK time. The NFL's Cowboys stadium has air conditioning, which will help regulate the temperature for spectators and players alike.

In contrast, England's second group game against Ghana on June 23rd will be played in Foxborough, Massachusetts, with an open-air stadium that is expected to reach highs of 26 degrees Celsius during the day. The cooler temperatures may prove a blessing for teams competing later in the schedule.

England's final group match against Panama has been set for NYNJ Stadium in New Jersey on June 27th at 5pm EST, also an open-air venue with average high temperatures of 27 degrees C.

Scotland fans, however, are in for a tougher time, as their matches are scheduled to take place during some late evening hours. Their opener against Haiti will kick off at 9pm EST and 2am UK time on June 13th.

ugh i cant even... 🀯 who thought the england team was gonna have to play in dallas texas with a retractable roof lol thats like a 1800 miles away from london, like how are they gonna get their squad pumped up for that game πŸ˜‚. and then you got scotland playing at 2am uk time on june 13th, thats just cruel πŸ€• i feel bad for the haiti fans tho, gotta root for them against scotland anyway πŸŽ‰

anyway, did u know that texas is expected to see a record high of 34 degrees celsius this summer? 🌑️ and dallas has one of the highest stadium capacities in the world 🏟️. and england's projected squad value is around $1.4 billion lol they're raking it in πŸ€‘

btw, have u seen the temp forecast for usa stadiums during the 2026 world cup? πŸ“Š here are some crazy numbers:

* dallas texas: high of 34 degrees celsius (average crowd capacity: 80k)
* foxborough massachusetts: high of 26 degrees celsius (average crowd capacity: 65k)
* njny stadium new jersey: average high temperature: 27 degrees celsius (average crowd capacity: 50k)

scotland fans, stay hydrated! β˜•οΈ

I'm kinda stoked England's gonna get this World Cup started, but playing in that retractable roof stadium in Dallas sounds like a total overkill πŸ˜‚. I mean, it's not like they're gonna be playing in a furnace or anything, and it's not like the UK weather is all about extreme temps anyway. I'm more concerned about England getting those wins than worrying about their players sweating buckets πŸ’¦.

The NFL stadium thing is pretty cool tho, but I wish they could've found a better compromise between that and the open-air stadiums in Massachusetts and New Jersey. It's gonna be super hot during England's games there 🀣. Scotland's schedule sounds tough though... playing at 2am UK time? That's some crazy fans-only stuff πŸ˜….

I mean, I'm so down with the idea of England's World Cup games being played in Dallas 🀠, but at the same time, I think it's kinda weird that they're not playing in England? Like, shouldn't they be representing their own country, you know? πŸ€” And what's up with the retractable roof thingy? Is it really necessary for the NFL game or just gonna make everything too air-conditioned and boring? 😴

And on the other hand, I'm all for the open-air stadiums in Foxborough and New Jersey - it'll be way more authentic and fun for the fans! Who needs AC when you can feel the heat of a real World Cup match, right? πŸ”₯ But wait, isn't that gonna be kinda tough on the players? Like, will they even be able to keep up with the heat? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

And Scotland's matches are just so... late. 2am UK time is just cruel, dude! 😴 Can't we just get the kick-off times a bit more reasonable? But hey, at least it'll be a party for Scottish fans who stay up all night cheering on their team πŸŽ‰

🀩 Can you even imagine how cool (literally 😎) it's gonna be for England fans in Dallas?! Playing under a retractable roof is like having the best of both worlds – AC to beat the heat, but still an immersive stadium experience! And who knows, maybe the cooler temps in Foxborough and New Jersey will actually give teams an edge later on πŸ€”. I mean, we've seen it happen before, right? As for Scotland fans, at least they're gonna have a chance to enjoy some midnight kicks βš½οΈπŸ•°οΈ... who needs sleep when you're cheering on your team?! πŸ’–

ugh I'm already stressed thinking about the heat 🀯 England's gonna have it rough playing in those open-air stadiums in the US, especially with all that sun beating down on 'em. I mean, can't they just set up some decent shade or somethin'? And what's with Dallas? 26 degrees Celsius is insane for June! 🌑️ Scotland's got it tough too, but at least their matches aren't gonna be as bad... yet πŸ˜…

I don't know about you guys, but I'm more worried about the players than the heat. All that running around and heat exhaustion is no joke. Maybe they can get some cool towels or somethin' to help 'em out? 🧴 Just please let them stay hydrated and healthy throughout the tournament... we need our England team to do well! πŸ’ͺ

Can you imagine playing football with the sun beating down on you? I played sports in school when I was younger, but I always thought it'd be crazy to play a World Cup match without any air con 🀯! The temperatures in Dallas are gonna be hot, hot, hot! At least the NFL stadium has that retractable roof thingy to keep everyone comfortable. Scotland fans though... 9pm is a bit harsh, especially for those who stay up late 😴. Still, I guess it's all part of the game, right?

Ugh, can you believe the scheduling of England's games 🀯? First, they're stuck with a retractable roof in Dallas that's basically an oven during the day 😷. Then, they have to deal with sweltering heat in Massachusetts 🌑️. And don't even get me started on New Jersey - 27 degrees C is insane β˜€οΈ! Why can't they just play at home like everyone else? πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ At least Scotland's fans get to experience some decent evening hours, but Haiti at 2am UK time? No thanks 😴...

πŸ€” This is just getting crazy... like, what's next? Playing the World Cup in a climate-controlled bubble? 🌑️ I mean, I get it, temperature control can be a thing for stadiums, but this feels like we're trading natural weather for some sort of manufactured experience. And what about the fans who want to feel the heat or cold while they're watching their team play? Don't they matter anymore? πŸ˜’ I'm not sure how I'd even enjoy an England game in that kind of setting... it just doesn't seem like football at all 🏟️

I think it's kinda unfair that England gets the air con treatment and Scotland has to deal with the heat πŸ˜’. Like, don't get me wrong, a bit of sweat never hurt anyone, but still... it's not exactly fair that they're gonna be melting in that stadium while England is chillin' under the roof. And what's up with the timing? Scotland's gotta play at 2am? That's just cruel 😴. I mean, can't they just get a decent time like everyone else? It's all about the experience, right? Not about torturing your fans with heat and darkness πŸ€”.

Ugh I'm already stressed thinking about England's matches 🀯. I mean Dallas is gonna be scorching hot, like, who wants to play footy in the middle of summer? And don't even get me started on Ghana, I was really hoping for some cooler temps to help me focus during their game 🍺. NYNJ Stadium sounds like a nightmare too, 27 degrees C? That's like playing tennis, not football πŸ˜“. I'm just gonna have to bring my own fan and be all cozy while watching from home πŸ›‹οΈ. At least Scotland fans get a bit of an easier deal, but still gotta deal with the late evening kickoffs... poor guys πŸ’€.

Ugh, can u believe it?! England is gonna play like half the games with no air con 🀯! Dallas is one thing but Foxborough in Massachusetts during the summer is just crazy β˜€οΈ! I mean, 26 degrees Celsius is like, not even warm weather for most people. What's wrong with playing in a cooler place? And Scotland fans are stuck with the worst schedule 😩. Late evening games and no air con... that's just a nightmare! πŸŒƒπŸ˜΄

I'm not sure how I feel about these new retractable roof stadiums πŸ€”... on the one hand, it's awesome that we have better options for players and fans to stay cool during those hot matches ⛽️. But at the same time, can't they just make stadiums more sustainable and eco-friendly instead of relying on air conditioning all the time? πŸ’¦ And what about the noise pollution from those massive cooling systems? Not to mention the environmental impact... I mean, it's just a bunch of tech trying to solve a problem that might not even be that big of a deal πŸ™„.
