Year Walk, Device 6 and other early Simogo games are coming to Steam and Nintendo consoles

Simogo Celebrates 15th Anniversary by Reviving Its Legacy on Steam and Nintendo Consoles

As part of its 15th anniversary celebration, Simogo has announced a massive retrospective project that includes bringing back some of its most beloved mobile games to more platforms. The new collection, dubbed the "Simogo Legacy Collection," will be available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and even Nintendo's latest console iteration, the Switch 2.

The collection features all seven of Simogo's mobile games released between 2010 and 2015, including critically acclaimed titles like "Year Walk" and "Device 6." These retro-style games are being preserved with minimal changes to ensure an authentic experience for players. On Nintendo consoles, touchscreen controls will be supported, allowing fans to play the games as they were originally designed.

However, Simogo isn't stopping at just bringing back its mobile games; it's also working on remastering two of its recent titles, "Lorelei and the Laser Eyes" and "Sayonara Wild Hearts," for Switch 2. Fans can expect these new releases to arrive in early 2026.

On a related note, Simogo will be re-releasing "Sayonara Wild Hearts" as a paid app on iOS next year. The game had previously been available as part of Apple Arcade but left the service in 2024.

To commemorate its 15-year milestone, Simogo has partnered with Lost in Cult to create a lavish coffee table book titled "Heartbeats, Dreams and Laser Eyes: 15 years of Simogo." This comprehensive tome features around 250 pages and will be available in both standard and deluxe editions. A special edition with exclusive extras is also being offered.

The "Simogo Legacy Collection" launches on December 2, coinciding with the studio's first game's 15-year anniversary. The collection can be purchased for $15 and includes a host of goodies, such as an ebook of "Year Walk" side stories, additional music, playable prototypes, and more.

While Simogo hasn't revealed much about its upcoming plans, it's clear that the studio is committed to preserving its gaming legacy for future generations. With the release of the "Simogo Legacy Collection" and its other retro-style games, fans are in for a treat.
