Judge Denies Tamara Lich's Request to Travel Under House Arrest The recent decision by Justice Heather Perkins McVey to deny Tamara Lich's request to travel internationally while serving her house arrest sentence has sparked a necessary conversation about accountability and the consequences of one's actions.

Lich, who played a pivotal role in organizing and sustaining the 2022 convoy protest that paralyzed downtown Ottawa for nearly a month, requested permission to attend press events at the White House, go on a Caribbean cruise, and speak with right wing comedian Rob Schneider.

Lich was handed a 12 month house arrest sentence last October for mischief and other offenses related to her role in the convoy protest.
