Omg just heard about this crazy attack on National Guardsmen outside a DC metro station can't believe someone would do such a thing to innocent ppl multiple gunshot wounds and one guy taking down the shooter hope the 2nd guard is ok btw, what's up with people from other countries committing violent crimes in the US? should be aware of our borders more
what a crazy thing to happen on our watch! some dude just walks up and starts spraying bullets at two people trying to do their job? the fact that he took one of the guards gun is wild, like what was going through his head?! anyway, props to the 3rd guard who managed to take him down, that's some serious skill. it's also a reminder that even when you're not armed to make arrests, you can still be a hero in a split second. btw, why do these attacks seem to happen more often now? are we just more aware of them because of social media or is there something deeper going on?
what's up with this? I mean, some dude just walks up to two guards and starts shooting without warning... it's like a scene from a movie or something! And then another guard just happens to have a gun on him and takes out the shooter? It's wild. I'm glad no one else got hurt, but what's going through this guy's head to do such a thing? And now we're hearing that there are more people from other countries getting involved in violent crimes... it's like, what's driving them to do this kind of stuff? We need to figure out a way to prevent these kinds of situations before someone else gets hurt.
man that was super scary what happened to those 2 US National Guard members outside the metro station . it's crazy they just got attacked without warning and had to fight back for their lives . i'm so glad the third guy was able to return fire and stop the suspect, his actions were literally a lifesaver . and yeah, it's super concerning that the suspect was armed and managed to get his hands on one of the guards' guns . law enforcement needs to do more to prevent these types of incidents from happening in the future. anyway, kudos to those guards for being so brave and putting themselves in harm's way to keep others safe
I'm shocked that more people aren't saying the obvious - that the fact the suspect was carrying a handgun in the first place is not really surprising. I mean, come on, it's Washington D.C., one of the most heavily armed cities in the US... shouldn't we expect a certain level of preparedness for potential threats?
And what really gets me is that everyone's focusing on how the suspect got his gun and not enough attention is being paid to the fact that he was able to carry it out without major issues. I'm not saying the National Guard didn't do their job, but let's not gloss over the elephant in the room - we're living in a world where gun violence is just... well, normal.
It's also weird how this story's being framed as some kind of 'isolated incident' when really, it's just another symptom of a larger problem. Like, what even is the point of having a 'high-visibility foot patrol' if the people responsible for their own security are still gonna bring guns to work?
