, i mean don't get me wrong, goldstein & daley are talented guys and all but it feels like they're just taking a bunch of stuff from other successful films (dungeons & dragons, game night) and slapping it onto the star trek franchise. can't they come up with something original for once? 
at least this time around it's not some random writer or director who's gonna mess it up 
. I mean, we've got some great shows like Picard and Strange New Worlds already 
. And what about the ones that didn't quite work out? Like Noah Hawley's prequel series

what makes Paramount think they need to rehash the whole franchise every 5-7 years? didn't we learn from the previous failures, like that Tarantino mess and Hawley's prequel flop?
